Friday, August 19- Start your weekend off right with Summer Sessions at Port City Music Hall. Dead Sessions will be returning to Port City Music Hall. There will be a classic VT lineup bringing back Seth Yacavone & Tony Kniffin on guitars, Trevor Ainsorth & Kevin Shapiro on drums, Brian Laurie on keys.The event is 18 and over but all ages are welcome with the accompaniment of a parent. Another event, Zeme Libre will be performing from 6-8 PM in Congress Square Park. This is an New England based band that is quickly gaining a reputation for being unique and having high energy. This is a very special event to attend and it’s FREE. Want a concert on the water? Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Bonnie Raitt will be playing at Maine State Pier starting at 7! She has played over 170 shows in North America, Singapore, Australia/ New Zealand, the UK and Europe. She has appeared on Ellen, Leno, Letterman, GMA, Fallon, Kimmel and more. Raitt has also received the Lifetime Achievement Award for Performance from the Americana Music Association! This is a concert you will never forget and the tickets start at just $52.
Saturday, August 20- There is always something new and exciting going on in the Old Port! Two Roads Brewing Company will be visiting from Connecticut and is hosting an event called Two Roads Whales and Ales. This is an awesome opportunity to spend a beautiful Saturday on the water while trying a flight of extremely rare TRB beers with a Q & A session with the Director of Brewery Operations John Rehm. A portion of your ticket will be donated to the Blue Ocean Society. There will be another event in Congress Square Park that is FREE and for all ages. The Hip Hop Summit is an outdoor event with performances by Sway Nation Performances starting at 3 PM.
Sunday, August 21– Kick off Sunday funday with live music and craft beer at Rising Tide Brewing Company. Vinyl Tap will be playing from 1-4 PM and The Highroller Lobster Co. will be there with a fresh catch! If you want an event on the water there will be an “American Ride” Concert Cruise hosted by Casablanca Cruises- Dinner and Party Boat.
