July 29- Start the weekend off right with the Ricochet Deck Party at The Thirsty Pig starting at 5 pm. Backlash Beer Company is from Boston, MA and will be bringing a double dry hopped, west coast IPA. Another fun event to start your weekend will be the Rising Tide Brewing Company Last Friday Beer and Oyster event. The oysters will be from O’ Oysters and the beer will be from Rising Tide. The event goes from 4-7 PM.
July 30- Celebrate diversity at Music, Crafts and Cuisine in Deering Oaks Park from 11am-7pm. The event is free and is family friendly. This is the 14th annual Greater Portland Festival of Nations which promotes understanding and appreciation for all the diverse groups in the state of Maine. There will be exotic delicious food from diverse global vendors and music from diverse musicians on stage. Another great event for a good cause is the Pixel Fund Pints For Paws at Little Tap House from 11am-2pm. Lone Pine Brewing Company will be brewing up a special rescue ale. Sales for this specific brew during the event will be benefiting The Pixel Fund. Want something more active? Peaks Island 5 mile Road Race will be held at 2 Garden PI, Peaks Island, ME at 1030AM -2PM. This is the 29th Annual Maine Track Club Peaks Island 5 Mile Road Race, presented by Fleet Feet Sports Maine Running- Portland. Following the race there will be a traditional Peaks Island Lions Club lobster bake!
July 31- Take advantage of Sunday funday with a Kilcollins Booze Cruise from 2pm-5pm hosted by Casablanca Cruises. The cruise goes from 2-5 PM and only costs $20. There will also be a drink and draw event at Geno’s Rock Club from 6-9 PM. Of course, there will be music and booze to keep the party going!
