Ales for Tails Pup Crawl: Sip, Stroll, and Support ARLGP

Looking for a weekend of craft brews, furry friends, and a great cause? Mark your calendar for the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland’s (ARLGP) Ales for Tails “Pup” Crawl on Saturday, September 14th, and Sunday, September 15th, 2024. This event is the perfect chance to explore Portland’s top breweries while supporting the ARLGP’s mission to provide care and shelter for animals in need.

What It’s All About

Taking place across two of Portland’s most popular brewery hubs—Industrial Way and East Bayside—this event brings together beer lovers and animal advocates for a fun-filled weekend. Twenty-two breweries are participating, offering you a chance to sample some of Portland’s finest craft brews while helping support ARLGP’s life-saving work.

Support a Great Cause

Proceeds from the Ales for Tails Pup Crawl directly benefit ARLGP’s mission to provide care and shelter for homeless and neglected animals in Greater Portland. By enjoying a brew (or two!) during the crawl, you’ll be helping ARLGP continue its life-saving work.

Here’s What You Can Expect:

  • No Tickets Required: You don’t need to buy a ticket to participate. Just show up at any of the participating breweries, grab a drink, and enjoy the day! ARLGP will have tables set up at select locations, where you can make a donation, grab some swag, and learn more about how your support makes a difference.

  • Commemorative Glass for Early Birds: The first 100 participants to stop by an ARLGP table at any location will receive a special commemorative glass as a thank you for your support. It’s the perfect keepsake to remember your day out.

  • Exclusive Swag: Previous “Ales for Tails” merchandise will be available by donation, so be sure to check out the ARLGP tables for some limited-edition items.

  • Dog-Friendly Fun: Bring your pups along for the crawl! While some breweries may have restrictions on dogs indoors, many locations are dog-friendly, allowing your furry friend to join in on the fun. Just be sure to check with each brewery before heading out.

  • Explore Portland’s Best Breweries: With 22 breweries to choose from, you can craft your own crawl experience. Whether you prefer the bustling brewery scene of East Bayside or the more laid-back vibes of Industrial Way, there’s something for everyone.

  • Drink Responsibly: ARLGP wants everyone to have a safe and enjoyable time. Plan to walk between breweries or designate a driver, and remember—there’s no prize for visiting all locations, so take your time and enjoy the day at your own pace.
