Vignola to Close, Upscale Restaurant & Bar Slated for Fall

The building behind 10 Dana St. at 34 Wharf St., in the heart of the Old Port, is currently under contract for purchase by Joshua Miranda of The Miranda Restaurant Group, LLC who also owns the popular cocktail lounge, Blyth & Burrows. While the group is not buying 10 Dana St., they are purchasing the building behind it and assuming the lease for Vignola | Cinque Terre. The last day of service for Vignola | Cinque Terre will be Sunday, May 12, 2019.

Real estate broker plans halfway house as city proposes new shelters

Homelessness in Portland continues to be a hot-button issue among residents, city councilors, and developers. The City of Portland is still struggling with where to build a new shelter to better house the city’s homeless population. The City’s Health & Humans Service and Public Safety Committee is hoping to hear more from the public tonight to discuss three new locations.
