The Yard has announced that it will be closing this Memorial Day Weekend after one last bash.
Known as a premier live entertainment bar, The Yard offered a large outdoor patio, signature cocktails (including boozy milkshakes), a crafted bar menu, daily happy hours, firepits, corn hole, and local talent. Located at 82 Hanover Street in Portland’s West Bayside, The Yard open in late 2019 originally under the name The Whiskey Barrel.
In a statement made by Owner Jay Mahoney:
“What a bittersweet decision I had to make.
From The Whiskey Barrel to The Yard, We could not be more proud of what we’ve done.
The adaptations we’ve made over the years, and make us who we are, has been the most challenging years we’ve ever encountered.
It’s been an amazing ride, but now it’s time to say goodbye. My time needs to go to my husband and my mother In law!
We’ve realized how much life is sooooo short! And my time now will be spent with my family.”

The last day of public service will be Saturday, May 28th. They will be hosting an Afro Caribbean Gala on May 29th with DJ Onax. More information on the private event, visit here.
