Two of Portland’s highly anticipated restaurant openings, Twelve and Bar Futo will be giving a lucky few a special sneak peek of what’s to come with an exciting collaborative dinner on May 3rd, 2022.
Both Chef Jordan Rubin (Mr. Tuna, Crispy Gai, and the future Bar Futo) and Chef Colin Wyatt (Twelve and formerly Eleven Madison Park in NYC) will feature a taste of the upcoming menus for their respective locations while staying playful with how the overall dinner comes together. They will be joined by The Koji Club, which will be curating an optional sake pairing to highlight the flavors of each dish. The dinner will be taking place at Evo Kitchen + Bar.
As you may recall, Twelve made Vogue’s list of “America’s Most Anticipated Restaurant Openings of 2022” and expects to debut this summer at 120 Thames Street in the developing 58 Fore in Portland Foreside. You can read more about that here.
Bar Futo will be a Japanese-inspired restaurant and is likely to open around May in the Old Port. The restaurant will be located at 425 Fore Street, the former home to Five Guys Burgers and Fries. You can read more about Bar Futo here.
A portion of proceeds from this dinner will be going to World Central Kitchen to support their efforts in supporting the people of Ukraine.
Tickets are sold out but you can stay up to date on any future happenings and announcements by following Bar Futo (Instagram) and/or Twelve (Instagram).
