Bayside Bowl celebrates 50 years of Hip Hop with a line up of legends including Ed O.G., Termanology, Akrobatik and special guest, Stay On Mars, on MAY 20th. Ed O.G. became legend with the success of his act Ed O.G. & Da Bulldogs and has worked with the likes of Pete Rock, DJ Premier, RZA, KRS-One, Common, Black Thought of The Roots and Masta Ace, to name a short few, in his long and storied career. Termanology first gained major attention with the 2006 single “Watch How It Go Down”. A solo album, Politics as Usual, was released in 2008. He has made a number of collaborative albums, such as 1982 (released in 2010) and is known also for his prolific mixtape output and his feature on the famed remix of Christina Aguilera’s song “Back in the Day.” Akrobatik first gained critical acclaim as one half of the legendary duo, The Perceptionists (with Mr. Lif) and his music has appeared on television shows such as HBO’s The Wire and ESPN’s Playmakers, in films such as Date Movie and Wholetrain, and in video games such as NBA Live ’06, Amplitude, Frequency, EA Sports UFC, and Need for Speed: Most Wanted. In 2003, Akrobatik’s album, Balance, on Coup D’état, ranked at number 4 on CMJ’s “Hip-Hop 2003 chart. Stay On Mars is a New England Hip Hop Artist and organizer behind Monday of the Minds: A Community Hip Hop Showcase in Portland, Maine. After moving around the country and making music for a decade, Mars landed on the New England Hip Hop Scene in 2015 and has shared the stage with Zion I, Masta Ace, Sole, Ceschi, E Turn, Lisa Vazquez, Myles Bullen, Heir Max, Sarah Violette, Big Lo, Marcel P Black, Poe Mack, aLunar Landing, Jacobsen and more.
