Whether making our wines on-site, contracting with winemakers in California, or finding local orchards to craft our ciders, we work hard to ensure that all our products have been meticulously crafted for your enjoyment. When the time is right, we can our wines and ciders to prepare them for you, our customers.
Blue Lobster Urban Winery was founded by longtime Portland resident Chris Gamble. We chose the name ‘Blue Lobster’ because we’re a little different. Maine lore has it that with the catch of a ‘one in a million’ blue lobster comes good fortune. We feel a sense of that good fortune doing what we love in a place that we love.
Our winery and tasting room on Anderson Street in East Bayside is an unpretentious, come as you are, friendly and funky place meant to join good people with good wine.
