GoodWorks Entertainment and Shore Sounds Entertainment, have introduced a proposal for a two-day Music & Arts Festival at Edward Payson Park, set for summer 2025. The proposed dates are either August 3-4 or August 16-17, with festival hours from 12 PM to 10 PM each day. Organizers anticipate a crowd of 10,000 to 12,000 attendees daily.
According to the proposal submitted to the city, tickets would range from $75 to $550, depending on tier selection. Aimed at a broad audience aged 25-55, the festival plans to be family-friendly, offering a diverse lineup of Americana, Rock, Indie, Folk, Country, Blues, and Reggae. The proposal suggests that artists similar to The Lumineers, Caamp, Brandi Carlile, Trampled by Turtles, Ziggy Marley, Trey Anastasio, Vampire Weekend, and others could be featured.
The proposal also addresses logistical considerations, including the limited parking at Payson Park. Solutions suggested are shuttle services, bike parking, rideshare options, and increased pedestrian traffic. Organizers would also coordinate to maintain public access to the Community Gardens, Senior Center, and ongoing sports activities in the park. While still in the planning stages with the City of Portland and Friends of Payson Park, we’re curious—would you be excited to see a festival like this in Portland?
