This spring and summer’s outdoor dining options will include an array of decks, patios, sidewalk seating, and more, ensuring that you and your group can thoroughly enjoy some al fresco dining while indulging in local cuisine. Alto Terrace Bar + Kitchen
Elevated dining in the Historic District of the Old Port, Alto Terrace Bar + Kitchen has 4th-floor terrace dining. Open for breakfast or for an upscale dinner.
Blyth & Burrows
Get ready to set sail at Blyth & Burrows has been working hard on constructing their ship (patio) on Exchange Street! Now open for the season.
Boone’s Fish House
From your choice of two decks, Boone’s offers waterfront dining right in the Old Port. A lively waterfront restaurant and bar, Boone’s serves up fresh and local seafood. Decks is officially open for the seasonon Friday, April 14th.
Bramhall
A modern-day speakeasy in the heart of the West End,Bramhall has patio dining out back!
Butcher Burger
Butcher Burger is a unique restaurant which serves a variety of burgers, hand cut fries, and lobster rolls! Their Portland location now now offers patio dining along Union Street in the Old Port.
Buzz Coffee
The Old Port’s underground coffee shop, Buzz Coffee, is coming above ground to offer limited sidewalk seating for the season on Exchange Street.
Dockfore
Sports bar + local pub in the heart of the Old Port, Dock Fore has sidewalk seating and a built out parklet seating available along Fore Street.
Eighty 8 Donuts
Baking up bite sized donuts hot and fresh out of Portland,Eighty 8 Donuts has their patio dining open for the season. Located in the Old Port.
El Rayo
A friendly local taqueria serving fresh & delicious Mexican cuisine, El Rayo has its back deck open.
Gritty McDuff’s
Get some outdoor brews and pub fare right on Wharf Street, the heart of the Old Port, at Maine’s Original Brewpub, Gritty McDuff’s. Their patio is currently open on weekends, and will be switching to 7 days a week sometime in May.
Gross Bakery
Gross Bakery is open 8 AM – 3 PM Thursday – Sunday with outdoor sidewalk seating on Middle Street. First-come, first served and is weather dependent. Additional seating along Exchange Street coming soon.
Gross Confection Bar
Gross Confection Bar, a dessert-focused bar and restaurant, is offering outdoor sidewalk seating on Middle Street at a first-come, first served basis. Weather dependent! Gross Confection Bar is open Thursday – Sunday starting at 5 PM. Additional seating along Exchange Street coming soon.
Harbor Bistro & Terrace
Portland Harbor Hotel’s Harbor Bistro + Terrace has fire pit lounge seating and patio tables available in their private terrace. Located in the Old Port and open to the public.
Independent Ice Co.
The bourbon whiskey bar & restaurant, Independent Ice, now has its patio dining on Wharf Street open for the season. Great for enjoy dinner and a drink while people watching in the historic Old Port.
Liquid Riot

Offering one of the best waterfront views at their hip, warehouse setting with funky fixtures, Liquid Riot’s back patio is open.
Luke’s Lobster

With one of the best views of Casco Bay, Luke’s Lobster’s deck has reopened for the season. Walk-ins only and is dog-friendly!
Maine Craft Distilling
Making remarkable beverages, Maine Craft Distilling’s private patio is open. Adirondack chairs and patio tables available.
Paper Tiger
Inspired by traditional fast food, oyster bars, and late-night Chinese restaurants, come enjoy Paper Tiger’s patio with a nice slushie and / or some delightful food!
Papi
To match its sister restaurant, Blyth & Burrows, Papi has also built their own (ship) patio along Exchange Street.
Po’Boys & Pickles
Bringing the Cajun heat of New Orleans to Portland, you can visit Po’ Boys & Pickles for patio dining 7 days a week.

Reopening for the 2023 season April 28th! Portland Lobster Company, located on the waterfront on Portland’s bustling Commercial Street, has live music, fresh and delicious seafood, and one of the best views in town from their patio!
Rigby Yard
Sharing a space with Independent Ice, Rigby Yard, a beer, wine, and specialty cocktail bar has their patio looking out onto the heart of the Old Port on Wharf Street.

A favorite hangout for locals for 45+ years, Amigos Mexican Restaurant has built out a patio out front on Dana Street.
Anoche
Washington Ave’s cider, spirits and modern pintxos bar, Anoche, has reopened its outdoor seating for the season. Consists of patio tables, lounge chairs and a walk up-service window.

Friends & Family’s sidewalk dining is open for the season! Adjacent to Congress Square Park, you’re bound to catch live music, dancing, films, or more!

Goodfire Brewing Co. is open daily for outdoor dining on a first come, first serve model. Leashed dogs are permitted on the patio! Rotation of food trucks visit throughout the week + weekend.
The Great Lost Bear
A longtime hub for beer enthusiasts with over 70 taps, weekly microbrewery events, and a broad food menu, The Great Lost Bear on Forest Avenue is open for dining on their back deck. Seating is currently very limited for the spring season.
