Bars & Breweries:
Argenta Brewing Company: This weekly book club meets at Portland’s “lager saloon” every Tuesday from 6:30pm – 8pm.
Foundation Brewing Co.: A monthly book and beer pairing! Books and Brews meets every month on the 2nd Thursday of each month starting at 6pm. Is co-hosted by Print Bookstore.

Horror at Hardshore: Dedicated those those that dare to venturer into the horror genre, this book club is hosted at Hardshore Distilling Co. Meets every 2nd Sunday of the month.
Novel: Portland’s book bar and cafe hosts Silent Book Club on the last Tuesday of every month from 7pm – 9pm. A global community SBC members gather in public at bars, cafes, bookstores, libraries, and online to read together in quiet camaraderie. On the first Monday of every month, Novel Book Club meets from 7pm – 8pm.
Orange Bike Brewing Co.: A cozy, one-of-a-kind reading experience at Portland’s dedicated gluten free brewery. A bring-your-own-book book club, relax and sip on a cold brew while you read. Meets on the first Wednesday of each month from 6pm – 8pm: February 7th, March 6th, April 3rd, May 1st.
Rising Tide Brewing Company: Monthly book club series is co-hosted by Print Bookstore in Portland. Meets the third or fourth Tuesday of every month at 7pm. Food and beverages available on-site (kitchen will close at 7:30pm, bar at 7:45pm).
Clubs:

All Genres Book Club: Meets once a month on the first Thursdays at 5pm at Riverton Public Library off Forest Ave. This club reads both popular and lesser-known books. Discussions are group-led, and library staff is on hand to help moderate. All are welcome!
Back Cove Coven Book Club: A fantasy book club that meets every 2nd Tuesday of the month.
Blurb Club: Meets every third Friday from 11am – 12pm at the Burbank Branch Library. Is an informal book discussion for participants to talk about a book they are currently reading or have recently read, and get a chance to hear recommendations from other attendees. A genere is loosely suggested but everyone is encouraged to attend regardless of what they’re reading.

Mechanics’ Hall Book Discussion: Curated by the Mechanics’ Hall Library Committee, this group reads a mixture of fiction and non-fiction stories that “make knowledge, ideas, and arts accessible.” The salon-style discussions occur on the first Tuesday of every month (November – June) at noon – 1pm. Free for Mechanics’ Hall members.
Portland Books and Beer: Meets every month on a Thursday at 7pm. Usually reading a short work of fiction!
Reading the Rainbow: Meets on the second Monday of every month at Print Bookstore at 7pm. They focus on books written by and about queer people.
Romantasy Maine: Romance Fantasy books, meets monthly at Novel.

Quiet Nights: Held at Mechanics’ Hall, this silent book club meets Mondays from 5pm – 7pm. Tea and snacks provided, book club is free for Mechanics’ Hall members and $10 for nonmember drop-ins. An introvert haven, this book club aims for the sheer pleasure of reading without the weight of obligatory discussions or deadlines.
Westbrook-Portland-Southern Maine Book Club: This book club engages in lively discussions of a variety of genres of books! Meeting at people’s homes include wine, speciality cocktails, nonalcoholic beverages and a variety of light eats. Meet once a month at 7pm!
