After nearly 12 years, The North Point closed its doors for the last time on Sunday, October 13th.
Owner Dan Talmatch said the closure is the result of a number of reasons, such as rising costs, staffing, and seeing a decrease in sales. Brothers Dan and Noah Talmatch originally opened The North Point in 2013, at 35 Silver Street, Portland. The upscale dining spot featured specialty cocktails, shareable plates, craft beer, and more.
On a Facebook post, Dan said more details will follow, but thanks everyone for supporting them for the last 12 years. The greater Portland area has seen a string of closings in the past couple months, and many fear more will follow.
