Here’s a fact for you: On an average year, restaurants & the foodservice industry are responsible for two-thirds of seafood sales in the US.
However, the current COVID-19 pandemic has hit some of Maine’s most beloved spots in an unfortunate manner. That’s why starting February 18th & taking place every Thursday for four weeks (February 18, February 25, March 4, and March 11), The Gulf of Maine Research Institute, in support of their Culinary Partners, presents Split The Seafood Bill. On these days, they will be offering to split the cost of takeout or dine-in orders when you order a seafood dish from these participating restaurants:

How does it work once you’ve ordered? To be reimbursed you’ll need to take TWO photos, the first of your seafood dish & the latter of your receipt. Once done, you’ll need to complete & submit your reimbursement form to receive compensation for 50% of your (non-alcohol) receipt, up to $30 total. If you are one of the first 200 people to submit & your form is approved, you’ll receive a check in the mail in 2-4 weeks.

Terms & Conditions: Receipt must include a seafood dish Reimbursement is for the first 200 reimbursement forms received & approved. The Gulf of Maine Research & Institute will reimburse 50% of your bill, up to $30 total (excluding alcohol). Receipts will be accepted within 48 hours of your meal, and only one reimbursement form submission allowed per person, per week.
