THE HEADLINER

American hard rockers Clutch are coming to Portland this Friday, April 14th at the State Theatre.
Clutch got their start in 1991, gaining a loyal local following from their home in Maryland, before hopping on a lengthy tour playing support for Marilyn Manson, giving the young band national acclaim, and they haven’t stopped rocking out since.
In 2001, Clutch grew into a household name with their first Top 40 single, “Careful With That Mic,” but lifelong fans can look forward to hearing hits spanning their entire 13 album discography.
With support from Amigo The Devil and Nate Bergman, this is one show the rock lovers won’t want to miss. Check out the link for full details, including ticket information.
LIVE & LOCAL

Whether you love the sound of traditional Irish music, or you love to make it yourself, there’s no better place to be in Portland on a Sunday afternoon than RiRa Irish Pub.
This Sunday, and every Sunday join local musicians for an Irish music session for all to enjoy. If you play, you are more than welcome to bring your own instrument and join in on the songs you know, but everyone is welcome to sit, clap their hands, or do a jig to fun, traditional tunes of the Emerald Isle.
The Irish Session goes from 3:00 – 5:00PM every Sunday. Check out the link below for full details.
MID-WEEK MUSIC

If Clutch isn’t hard enough for you, true metalheads will want to get to Geno’s Rock Club this Wednesday April 12th.
Split up your work week with some amazing acts in the underground metal world. Starting at 8:00PM, check out Pathogenic, Inferious, Alukah, and When The Dead Won’t Die – four bands that view head-banging and moshing as a necessity.
Just $10 gets you in to this 21+ show for an all night rage of heavy metal music. Check out the link below for full details including ticket information, but keep in mind – Geno’s is a cash only venue!
