A veteran behind the decks with more than a decade of experience, Last Minute Zach has some deep cuts that will keep you on the dance floor.
San Fermin w/ Lampland | SPACE Gallery | 7:30 PM
San Fermin is the brainchild of Brooklyn’s Ellis Ludwig-Leone, an artist with a broad musical background who pursued musical studies at Yale and sharpened his teeth working with avant-garde classical composer Nico Muhly (Björk, Grizzly Bear, Antony & the Johnsons). Emerging in 2013 with their stylistically diverse eponymous debut, the collective’s sound has evolved over the years with electronic pop and experimental rock adding new colors to their distinctive modern chamber pop. Spring Cocktail Class | Stroudwater Distillery | 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Stroudwater’s Bar Manager will be leading the class, demonstrating essential cocktail-making techniques, and teaching a variety of cocktail recipes. Tickets here.
A Festive Burlesque Show | Geno’s Rock Club | 7:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Celebrate Easter weekend with a burlesque show you will need to repent for. Dress up in your Sunday best (on a Friday night) for the Jesus costume contest and arrive when their doors open at 7pm for our bake sale. Show starts at 8pm with Gigi Gabor. The evening will be a raunchy and inappropriate hymn as well as an unholy communion (children stay at home!) They have a whole host of sinful and devilish performances by Vivian Vice, Creme Dela Phlegm, La Petite Mystique, Chartreuse and many more. Tickets here.
Saturday the 16th
Crooked Coast W/ Sal Johnson and The Crowded Table | Free Street | 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Crooked Coast is a band that blurs the line between music and visual art, self-producing music videos, and graphic design. Their 2020 single “Rise & Shine” debuted at #5 on the iTunes reggae charts marking the beginning of their work with acclaimed producer/engineer Courtney Ballard (5 Seconds of Summer, Good Charlotte, The Used.) The Don Campbell Band | One Longfellow Square | 8:00 PM
If music is made from memories, and memories are made from moments, then performing songwriter Don Campbell’s songs and his 30+ year career are a storybook full. There couldn’t be a better representative for the best of what Maine has to offer in heartfelt songs and energetic performances. Don Campbell has been recognized dozens of times over, winning six consecutive years as the Maine Sunday Telegram‘s favorite Maine songwriter. With his landmark podcast WTF with Marc Maron, which averages 6 million downloads per month, Maron has interviewed icons such as Robin Williams, Keith Richards and former US president Barack Obama. He also starred in the Netflix original series “GLOW” and has had roles in the films JOKER, SPENCER CONFIDENTIAL, SWORD OF TRUST, STARDUST, and the 2021 Aretha Franklin biopic, RESPECT, alongside Jennifer Hudson.
