An evening of music, drinks, and art! The Francis Hotel on Congress Street will be unveiling Tara Rook’s springtime art show, “The Whole Thing”, as part of Portland’s First Friday Art Walk. Specializing in pen and ink illustrations, Tara’s mission through her work as an artist is to create mindful art with love. She expresses gratitude and appreciation by illustrating themes of nature, Maine, anatomy and physiology, the healing arts, flora and fauna, and her love of traveling to distant places. Throughout the evening you’ll also have the chance to hear incredible sets by Just Milk, Tara’s electronic music project. Think glowing synth-pop, dark disco, and dreamy folk vocals.
