Friday the 25th
Winter Carnival | Maine Craft Distilling | Weekend #2 runs until February 26th
Maine Craft Distilling’s first Winter Carnival is back for its second weekend! Get ready for daily live music and Nordic-inspired games, food, and drinks for the whole family. Outdoor games, activities for all ages, distillery tours, plus a live band or DJ every single night! What better way to spend the long, dark days of winter.
Carnaval ME | Eastern Promenade | Weekend #2 runs until February 26th
Over on the Eastern Promenade, Carnaval ME is back and is better and bigger than ever! Celebrating winter in Maine, Carnaval ME kicks off its second weekend with fun for all ages! Will include LIVE music from artists such as Scotty McCreery, Jason Spooner Band, Hello Newman, and more. Kids can pop their heads into the heated igloo to get a caricature, face painting, or to make a bracelet. Outdoor kids’ activities include ski lessons, carving their name into ice, and winter games. Purchase tickets here. Friday 2/25 11-4pm schedule has been canceled due to the impending storm. Will resume later in the evening.
Twiddle | State Theatre Portland | 6:30pm
American rock band from Vermont is back and playing at the State Theatre! This jam band utilizes instrumental improvisation in their live performances and incorporates influences from a variety of music genres, including rock, jazz, bluegrass, reggae, and funk. Tickets here.
Beg, Steal or Borrow | One Longfellow Square | 8:00pm
Beg, Steal, or Borrow play traditional and improvisational bluegrass and roots music and are known for their warm harmonies, virtuosic instrumentals, and tight-knit musical interplay. Reschedule from their January 29, 2022, original date. Tickets here.
An Evening of EDM and Techno | Maine Craft Distilling | 6:00pm-9:00pm
Join Maine Craft Distilling for a fun night of great beats with local DJ Max Dansky (with Logan Grove) as part of their Winter Carnival 2022! This is a free event.
Hello Newman| Carnaval ME, Eastern Promenade | 8:00pm- 10:00pm
Maine’s premier alternative rock band will be bringing the 90s and early 2000s Rock, Ska, Rap and Swing jams to Carnaval ME this Friday! Tickets here.

SpinS: A One Person Circus Show | Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine | 11:00am – 12:00pm & 3:00pm-4:00pm
A wildly dizzying whirl of juggling, magic & movement, puppetry, circus & socks…totally tangled together! A pajama-clad unicyclist careens on stage, suitcase in tow. Unpacking, he introduces the audience to a whimsical world of clothes-pin towers and erratic toothbrushes. SpinS one person circus show weaves circus, dance and puppetry into entertaining and mind-bending performances for all ages. This one person circus show is appropriate for audiences of all ages. Narración Flamenca, A Flamenco Performance Featuring Dance, Song & Guitar | Mayo Street Arts| 7:00pm – 9:00pm
An evening of flamenco dance, song, and music with Maine-based & Seville-trained flamenco dancer Lindsey Bourassa accompanied by three of the most sought-after flamenco artists in the US: singer Bárbara Martínez, guitarist Cristian Puig, and dancer Marilia Quevedo. These four artists will perform traditional styles of flamenco and highlight flamenco’s expressive essence as a powerful, passionate, and captivating language. Tickets here.
