The Weekend Guide for April 6th – April 8th, 2018

It might be chilly out there but we’re fighting it and bringing the Springtime vibes to Portland with good food, great beer releases, and lots of fun starting with the First Friday Art Walk!

Friday

On your way through the First Friday Art Walk, stop at Port City Music Hall to support many Maine based artists, makers, and musicians from 5-9 pm for their First Friday Happy Hour! This month’s featured artists are Pinfolk Studios, ATK Woodworks, Caitlin Puchalski, and more!

Join Mast Landing Brewing Company and Barreled Souls Brewing Company at the Great Lost Bear as they release both of their Paper Plates collaboration beers, Strawberry Shortcake Session IPA and Strawberry Tallcake IPA! Yum.

Solid Spring cocktails will be poured and the Bruce Couillard Trio featuring John Hoekstra keys and Jim Lyden upright bass at Maine craft distilling starting at 6 pm!

Bayside Bowl is hosting When Particles Collide with Body Electric from 8:30-11:30 pm! Delight your ears with some alt rock, your taste buds with great food and drinks, and maybe even partake in a bowl sesh at this all-ages-friendly, FREE event!

Saturday

Get sweaty AF at Crossfit MF for free! They’re kicking off Saturday the right way with a fun, informal, team workout full of positive vibes at 10 am.

If it’s a more mellow workout you’re after, the Oxbow crew is holding yet another Oxbow Yoga Saturday morning session for just $15 starting at 10:30 am! All-levels, no-flow, inclusive practice and an 8 oz pour of Oxbow beer, sounds pretty good!

Let Bunker Brunch and Bluegrass be your savior after a rough Friday night out. This week’s comfort food will be provided by Mashed starting at noon and music by The Bunker Bluegrass Session Band starting at 3!

Spring is in the air and Allagash Gasharoo is going down at Novare Res starting at 12 pm! They’re pouring all their best Allagash kegs and all is well in the world.

Sunday

Happy 4th Anniversary to Austin Street Brewery! We’re the ones receiving the gifts for their celebration with the killer tap list they’re providing, food from Mami Japanese food truck, and if you’re lucky you’ll get your hands on their 4 Year Anniversary DIPA or their Senescent barrel aged dark sour!

Sunday Night Stand Up! At Empire Live Music & Events this week is brought to you by Lone Pine Brewing Company beginning at 8 pm!

Check out the local artist Jason Weinberg in the company of beats provided by the Pub House Crew and a chance to win a beautiful piece of local art! It’s going down at Brian Boru starting at 9 pm.
