The Weekend Guide for Dec 21st – Dec 23rd

There are only 2 weekends left in 2018, better make this one merry!

Friday

Skip out of work a little early (it is a holiday weekend after all, right?!) and head to Boone’s for a killer happy hour featuring 75 cent oysters and cocktail shrimp and $5 drinks and appetizers starting at 3 pm.

Don’t let the holiday madness get the best of you. It’s finally Friday and catching Acoustic Driftwood at Maine Craft Distilling for their rock, blues, and soul jams and a well-deserved cocktail starting at 7 pm.

Bust out your ugliest sweater for Ugly Sweater Night at Maine Oyster Company where you can snag a free glass of prosecco for your bold fashion choices starting at 4 pm.

Keep your ugly sweater handy and head to the Philly Underground Bar for its 1st Annual Ugly Sweater Holiday Party at 7 pm for a free buffet and prizes and the debut of Captain Tucker’s Cream Ale from Island Dog Brewing on draft!

Saturday

Goodfire is kicking off their one year anniversary in a big way with Will Bradford and The Working Dead providing the music and the Thirsty Pig providing the special sausage.

Continue your favorite holiday tradition or start a new one! The Portland Ballet is bringing the return of the Victorian Nutcracker all weekend long with shows at 2 and 7:30 pm!

It’s not exactly the night before, it’s more like The Night Before the Night Before the Night Before Christmas, and that calls for a pub crawl. Join your fellow elves and partake in the merriment of the season with drink specials at various bars around the Old Port, starting at 7 pm at Bull Feeney’s.

As if the holidays weren’t enough of a reason to celebrate, but there’s live music at Salvage starting at 8:30 pm, meaning you can enjoy music from Seth Warner & friends, incredible barbecue, and an unparalleled selection of beer & bourbon. That’s enough cause for celebration any day of the week.

Sunday

Get your last minute shopping done at Maker’s Market at the Point, starting at 10 am, offering products from local Maine and New England farmers, artisans, art, vintage sellers, jewelry, woodwork, crafts, and more. Did we mention a full bar with bloodys and mimosas while you shop?

Little Tap House is providing fun for the whole family with the ultimate playdate. BYOB(aby) and get merry from 3:30-5:30 pm with happy hour specials, a photo booth, and fun!

You’ll leave Andy’s Old Port Pub with a new interest in roots music when you see Poor Howard singing the blues from 7-10 pm. Just what you need to sneak away and relax amidst the holiday stress.
