With Zumba, beer, brunch, and jams this weekend is full of amazing events and parties for tons of summer fun!
Grab a cold one at the grand opening weekend of Brewery Extrava. This party is raging all weekend long with draft beer, food trucks, music, art, giveaways, and friends!! It runs on Friday and Saturday from 12-8pm and Sunday from 12-7pm so get ready!
Friday
Stop in at The Thirsty Pig for Tropical Jam Jam from 5-11:30 pm. Grab a Tropical Jam from Foundation Brewing Company, a special dog, and enjoy live music from Geo Trio! So sit back, relax, and have a mini-vacay!
If you like Zumba get excited for a class taught by Claudiu Gutu, one of the top five finalists of Zumba’s Next Rising Star. He will be teaching from 7-8:30 pm at the East End Community School. This masterclass is for everyone, no matter if this is your first or your five hundredth class. Tickets are $20 so grab them quick!
Check out the Chris Stapleton/Miranda Lambert Tribute by Hollis Hollow hosted by Empire Live Music & Events. Tickets are $10, the doors open at 8:30 pm, and this is a 21+ event so bring your ID! Hollis Hollow will be covering songs by Chris Stapleton, Miranda Lambert, Fleetwood Mac, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and more!
Saturday
Stop by the Eastern Prom for Hip Hop Yoga and gorgeous views from 8-9am. This event is for all levels of yoga expertise! Class will meet behind the tennis courts and community garden and there is parking on the street.
From 10am-4pm Pickwick Independent Press and Congress Square Arts will be hosting Print Fair 2019. Over 30 of Maine’s most talented printmakers will be at Congress Square Park to show off their amazing skills! So if you enjoy art this event is perfect. The rain date is Sunday.
Check out the Pepperell Square Trio at The Porthole Restaurant & Pub from 2 pm- 6 pm. This is a trio of three seasoned musicians who play classic rock and pop. Grab a beer and some grub and chill out on Portland’s waterfront!
Prism Queer Dance Party w/ DJs MJ & Dirty Keys will be from 9pm-1am at Aura! This is a 21+ event so make sure you bring your ID with you. There is a $5 cover.
Sunday
From 9am-4pm Baxter Boulevard will be closed for Sundays on the Boulevard. This is the perfect time to go for a stroll, bike ride, or jog along one of the best views in Portland!
If you like brunch Chills + Love Brunch will be from 11am-5pm at Bunker Brewing Co. Grab a pilsner and chill!
It’s Reggae Sunday again on Peaks Island from 11:30am-5pm. Grab a beer or rum bucket and chill out with some awesome tunes.
There is a Pride Portland! Community Work Meeting from 4-6pm at the Equality Community Center. This event is meant to be a forum for Portland’s LGBTQ+ community to voice their ideas and concerns to the work teams. If you have any input or concerns stop by and voice them!
