Creative Portland is pleased to announce the second First Friday Art Walk Summer Stage in Monument Square to showcase Maine musicians and performance artists in Open Air Portland.
CAKEWALK presents a rotating set of popular DJ’s. This Boston veteran pulls rump shaking Disco and Deep House from his 20 years running decks from The Middle East to Elements Music Festival.. A veteran behind the decks with more than a decade of experience, Last Minute Zach has some deep cuts that will keep you on the dance floor.
What better way to celebrate the start of October other than a cemetery tour!? Walk Portland’s oldest burial ground with a trained guide! Visit the cemetery’s unique field of underground tombs, the oldest gravemarker from 1717, the final resting place of the famed Captains of the 1813 battle between the Boxer and the Enterprise, and the interesting carvings of Portland’s first stone-cutter, Bartlett Adams.
Blue is Portland’s most intimate live music venue. Come on down and enjoy 3 different acts:

The Magic Of The Ride: They line up their bikes, getting ready to ride to show their support for those with a battle inside. This is not just something that they do in jest as those pink ribbons get displayed on fenders, jackets and vests they ride in all weather in which they endure in hopes that one day there will be a cure.
A cross between a scavenger hunt, an adventure race, and an informative self-guided tour. Each adventure consists of a series of locations that you are guided to where you are required to answer questions or solve puzzles to receive your next instruction. All you need is your own mobile device and an internet connection. Recommended parking to begin adventure, 25 Pearl St. Portland ME.
- Drewski is a bass-shaking and exhilarating house and dance music producer/DJ.
- Max’s own productions focus on driving melodies and progressive rhythms, though he plays a variety of house, techno and tribal sounds.
- DJ Meech grew up in NYC listening to Caribbean and hip hop but also house and techno.
For Fans of Bands like: The Grateful Dead, Phish, Jam Bands. The Maine Dead Project will keep you on your feet, dancing and singing along with them all night long. Their electric performance is sure to leave you in awe throughout the entire night!
