Friday the 21st
Dark Nights Golden Days: Oshima Brothers Film Premiere | One Longfellow Square | 8:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Oshima Brothers premiere their first film “Dark Nights Golden Days” a visual album. Hear about how they made this 45-minute film from scratch, watch the film, see funny behind-the-scenes footage, join in for a Q & A and hear a few songs from the brothers live. It will be a very special night! In their first self-directed film, Dark Nights Golden Days, Oshima Brothers tell the story of their lives as artists and siblings. The film welcomes viewers into the deep imagination of the band, mixing gorgeous northern drone footage with green screen action scenes built into 3D animated spaces and scenes from around New England. Lauder Family Day: Express Your Selfie! | Portland Museum of Art | 10:00 – 6:00 PM
A picture is worth a thousand words, and photographs can help us to celebrate, feel, remember, and more. In connection with Presence: The Photography Collection of Judy Glickman Lauder, Portland Museum of Art invites visitors of all ages to explore the exhibition and engage in family-friendly activities throughout the day.
How Sweet It Is! An All-Star Tribute to Marvin Gaye | Sun Tiki Studios | 8:00 PM

How Sweet It Is ~ an all-star Tribute to Marvin Gaye, features 16 of Maine’s finest musicians donating their time to raise vital funds for Go Big For Hunger and Sweetser’s Overdose Prevention Services. Marvin Gaye, dubbed the Prince of Motown was one of the most successful soul artists of all time. This extraordinary group of vocalists include Svanna Australia Clariot, Rodney Mashia, Papa Tim, Sam Whitman, Unique Unknown, Jazmin DeRice Miller, Dawson Hill, Joshua Charleton Witham, Tom Douglas and introducing Mahogany Walton, backed by a stellar all star house band. Charity Cornhole Tournament | Goodfire Brewing Co. | 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
The winning team will claim two Plover Robes, a swag bag from Goodfire Brewing Co., and two pairs of Pit Viper shades. Oh, and also the title of Portland’s BEST cornholers for a full year. 100% of proceeds will be donated to STRIVE, an organization assisting people with emotional + intellectual differences to live with dignity and respect as active members of our community. Oyster Shucking Classes | Maine Oyster Co. | 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Join Maine Oyster Company for a Boom Shuck-a-Licous time as you pry, shuck, slurp and savor your way through what they hope is an experience of a shucking lifetime. The class involves 15 minutes of instruction from one of their experienced shuckers and then it’s time to get your shuck on! The team will be there to assist with the difficult shucks along with answer questions about oysters and their farming. The class lasts until all oysters are shucked or until bellies are happy and full. Tickets here.
Fall Infusion Workshop | Stroudwater Distillery | 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Stroudwater Distillery will begin the evening with a guided tasting of all of their spirits. Their team will make sure you have all the knowledge you need to pick the right product for your infusion! Choose one (or more) of their spirits, and add any combination of spices, herbs, and fruits to create your own signature blend. Follow one of their recipes, or make your own masterpiece from scratch! Trade your pumpkin spice latte for a pumpkin spice vodka, upgrade your gin and tonic with a lavender and chamomile gin, and so many more possibilities! Tickets here.

Join Needfire Candle Co. as they host their seasonal Witches Market. Artisanal vendors from throughout Maine will be selling their witchy wares, just in time for Samhain and Halloween. In addition, vending event series will feature tarot readings, costume contests, candle dipping and more! The market will be infused with new vendors and new experiences each day.

Learn to base and fly basic Acro poses using the correct techniques, you’ll practice getting comfortable finding balance and being upside down.
