This weekend is bringing with it a Tony-winning Broadway production, a unique beer-centric historical tour, and a unique showcase of Black artists in the world of country and Americana music. Dylan Adler’s Hit That Track – Comedy Special | Free Street | 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Comedian Dylan Adler returns after making his debut in Portland in 2021 at Thompson’s Point at Cabin Fever the outdoor comedy series. Dylan Adler is a comedian, actor, and musician based in NYC. He’s been featured on Hulu’s “Eater’s Guide to the World”. He’s been featured as a “Comic to Watch” at the NY Comedy Festival and has been featured in The NY Times and Vulture. Dylan Adler will be performing his original musical comedy, stand up, and characters, as well as do a BACKFLIP. Prepare for a night of high energy, chaos, and catharsis. Tickets here.

The Lifespan of A Fact | St. Lawrence Arts | 7:30 PM (Repeats Saturday)
Jim is a fresh-out-of Harvard fact checker for a prominent New York magazine. John D’Agata is a talented writer with a transcendent essay – an essay that could save the magazine from collapse. A comedic yet gripping performance that battles over facts versus truth. The Lifespan of a Fact features funny dialogue and “transcending comedy”. Tickets here.
Salsa Night| Stroudwater Distillery | 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Carl Dimow Quartet | Port City Blue | 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
Flutist, guitarist, and composer, Carl Dimow, is an eclectic and creative musician whose performances range from classical music to jazz, klezmer to blues, and from original music for theater and film to traditional folk music. His performances have been hailed as “mesmerizing”, “brilliant”, and “sublime”. This quartet focuses on the jazz side of Carl’s musical expression, combined with some blues and funk, and exploring the beautiful possibilities of the flute and bass flute as lead instruments in jazz.
Halloween Party in Gotham City | Free Street | 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Put on your costume and come to the 3D HALLOWEEN PARTY in Gotham City! Evening includes a costume contest (cash price + Batman gift), flow artist, live art, art venders, tarot reader, raffles for a trick-or-treat bag, and body/face painter. This is a beer centric tour of the Tate House Museum followed by beer and snacks in the gardens of the museum. Come find out what you don’t know about making beer in colonial times while you tour the Tate House museum on a special guided tour. What is spruce beer? How did a woman in the 1700’s make beer for the family? Celebrating 10 delicious years of Mainely Burgers This event is open to everyone! So please swing on over! Black Opry is a home for Black artists and Black fans of country, blues, folk, and Americana music. Country music has been made by and loved by Black people since its conception. One Longfellow Square invites you to discover, support and enjoy the Black artists that make magic in this space. One of the most valuable aspects of country music is its versatility and diversity in sound. Country, blues, folk, and Americana music often overlap or weave together- these artists explore all of those sounds and intersections. The Black Opry Revue showcases the diversity in sound and stories that Black artists offer to these genres. Tickets here.
Liquid Riot x Cheese Louise Harvest Dinner | Cheese Louise | 6:00 PM – 9:30 PM
Join Cheese Louise x Liquid Riot for a night of incredible local beers and cuisine! As fall starts to creep up, they are ready to get back into the swing of things with beer dinners. Join them over at Cheese Louise as they pair up with their neighbors, Liquid Riot, for the 2nd time, for a fun night of incredible beers, all locally crafted by Liquid Riot, paired with a variety of dishes from Chef Maria-Induisi Richardson, that will keep you wanting more. They will have a welcome mix and mingle session for the first ~half hour or so to allow for everyone to arrive, get their welcome drink, and find their seats. Jason Spooner Band | Portland Lobster Co. | 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Portland based songwriter, guitarist and producer Jason Spooner has been a visible and respected presence on the northeastern and national live music circuits for close to two decades. As the bandleader of The Jason Spooner Band (Dan Boyden – Drums, Stu Mahan – Bass and Dawson Hill – Keyboards), Spooner has expanded his musical horizons significantly over the course of five studio releases. The quartet stands out with an interesting signature American Roots Rock sound supported by audibly strong musicianship, interesting arrangements and well-crafted, intelligent writing.
