Anything from recent closings, openings, and headliners:
- Winners of Portland Old Port’s Best of 2024 Awards have been announced! The “Best of” Awards kicked off on June 30th, collecting over 10,000 nominations over two weeks. Voting took place through the entire month of July, collecting over 213,000 votes from more than 17,000 people. Winners were announced at a special event at Portland House of Music & Events on Tuesday August 13th, 2024, hosted by B. Aull, featuring food from local vendors OTTO, Eighty 8 Donuts, and Table Room Maine. Thank you all who attended and all who voted!
- Sapporo has announced the closure of their Portland location after 40 years. They will be relocating to Falmouth.
- Tandem Coffee and Bakery celebrated 12 years of Little Tandem, their cafe and roastery at 122 Anderson Street.
- Check out a recent visit to the Five of Clubs inside The Longfellow Hotel. The hotel bar and lounge opened back in May alongside the opening of the new hotel. Named after the five-man literary society that included Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, this intimate salon-style lounge channels the charm of New York and London’s best lobby bars.

New Additions
- Crown Jewel on Great Diamond Island is hosting their last Tiki Takeover on Saturday, August 31st. They will be wrapping up their tiki takeover series with the country’s *premiere* tiki bar Three Dots and a Dash. The windy city based tiki beacon is bringing their tropical vibes east to Crown Jewel.
- Bayside Bowl is hosting a Maine Beer Company Rooftop Party on Monday, September 16th. The Rooftop party is free and open to the public.
- Coals is hosting a Sunday Sauce Dinner on Sunday, September 22nd. Dinner will include an Italian salad with peppers and mozzarella, two types of pasta, slow cooked meatballs and sausage and wine. Call (207)747-5747 for reservations.
- ViA VECCHiA is set to close out September’s Negroni Month with flair, hosting its first-ever Bitter Ball contest on Monday, September 30th. This lively event marks the culmination of Imbibe’s Negroni Week and will feature a fierce, yet playful, Negroni competition among some of Maine’s top bartenders. Learn more.

- Sisters Gourmet Deli is hosting a fundraiser for Maine Needs on Saturday, September 7th. 20% of all Sisters Gourmet Deli gift card sales during that time will be donated to Maine Needs.
- Maine Craft Distilling will be hosting their annual SeaGrass Music Festival on Sunday, September 15th. Join for cold drinks, good food, live music and family fun.
