In this 1960s photo, we see the area that would later become the “Golden Triangle” parking lot and eventually One City Center. Federal Street is visible to the left, and the now-closed extension of Middle Street, which has transformed into Monument Way, is to the right. The buildings in this photo were demolished in 1969 to create a 160-car parking lot, which served the area for over a decade. In 1987, One City Center opened on this site as a mixed-use office building.
