It’s been nearly a year since Vena’s Fizz House announced the closure of their popular Old Port brick-and-mortar location. The cocktail/mocktail and mixology shop went to online sales exclusively to navigate the global pandemic but are ready to make their return. Vena’s Fizz House sent out a press release announcing the return of an expanded Vena’s Fizz House at 867 Congress Street in Portland.
Vena’s Fizz House will take over a historic building. Initially built as a church in 1889, Vena’s will meld the charming space into their own. Located near Maine Medical Center, Vena’s Fizz House will venture out of their Old Port space and will begin their unique offerings to a new neighborhood in the city.
So what can people expect from the new, expanded Vena’s Fizz House? Co-owner Johanna Corman stated in the press release, ““The new Vena’s 2.0 will hold all the nostalgic charm and passion for beverages and flavors that we are known for. Additionally, the venue lends itself to events and we plan to offer a unique space for specialty occasions, and mixology classes.”
Fans of Vena’s Fizz House will have to wait a few more months. The current plan sees Vena’s opening their new brick-and-mortar location in the Spring of 2022.
