Beam skin studio is a boutique skincare and waxing experience. We specialize in customized facials, curated retail products, eyebrow lamination, facial and body waxing. Results driven with less fluff (think, less fluffy robes and more funky music). Designed with intention to make you feel your best. We invite you to experience our studio with the casual feel of coming to see your best friend. Beam skin studio was born in 2023 with far deeper roots.

Our brand was founded by Rachel McCaffery, an esthetician since 2012. Beam skin studio was established to create a smooth (pun intended), funky, simple and consistent skincare experience. Our customized facials and waxing services are top notch- using carefully curated products and unique techniques. Our ultimate purpose is to establish a space for a new wave of beauty.

We’re about breaking societal beauty “standards”, gaining a deeper love and understanding for the skin you are in, feeling joy in caring for yourself, using incredible products, and establishing routines that fit YOU. You’re already Beaming, honey- but come on in anyway.

Absolutely love this place. The owner, Rachel, is really nice and sweet and she does an excellent facial. She also gives a head massage with the facial and it feels like heaven.All of her products have clean ingredients which is something I really care about. I was going here before I became pregnant and it’s great to be able to continue going here after I got pregnant, knowing that the products that she’s putting on my skin are safe for me and my baby.I can tell she genuinely cares about each and every one of her customers. I always leave feeling relaxed and refreshed. My skin is always glowing after I leave and continues to glow for the entire day.

Rachel and Moira are INCREDIBLE and did such a fantastic job on an eyebrow and bikini wax. They are extremely knowledgeable and will address any skincare concerns that you have, will walk you through all of the steps they're taking, and truly make you feel like you are being pampered. I could not recommend anyone else in Portland for waxing, and I'm so excited to go back for a facial soon!

Fantastic experience! Rachel seems like a lovely human inside and out. She answered all of my questions and is very knowledgeable about her products. I had the BEAM faster facial, but it didn't feel "fast" or rushed at all. Highly recommend!

Best place to go for waxing in the area! I never thought I would say that getting waxed was relaxing but once the post wax facial is on, im in heaven! It also has the added bonus of stopping my skin from being so red and irritated post wax, and the scalp massage during the facial is always the highlight of my week. My brows have never looked better, Rachel is a true master of the craft!

Absolutely amazing! I went for an eyebrow wax just to check it out and booked a facial right after. The owner is great, so knowledgeable and personable. I immediately felt comfortable with her. This isn’t a normal ‘spa’ type setting, she plays really good chill music and it’s more comfortable than fussy. I left with super glowy skin and felt amazing.

Beam is a wonderful spot in the neighborhood for services that are fast, friendly, and professional. I’ve come a couple times and really enjoy the ambiance, the fast service, and the conversation. Highly recommend for her waxing!!

Beam Skin Studio is such a darling new spot. While some offices have an atmosphere like an uptight doctors’ office or even a hippie lounge, the atmosphere at Beam gets an A++ for peacefulness, cleanliness, and a simplicity of its own. There’s a gentle smell of earthy incense that wafts through the studio, but no fear, It’s more of a kiss to the senses than a heavy pollutant. The space is open and not too crowded. Rachel, the owner, is a skin expert and an artist, and her hands work magic. She conducted a skin consultation before my 30 minute facial to pick the right products—which are also heavenly— and then the facial began. I can’t believe how quickly my holiday stress faded away. I left with healthy and hydrated, glowing skin that actually continued to look better as the day progressed. While some of the products she used are a little out of my budget for some impulsive spending, I’m keeping an eye on her website for holiday deals. 10/10 would come back as part of my regular self care routine.
