Established in 1981, this family-owned shop specializes in handcrafted platinum, gold, and sterling silver jewelry pieces.

At D.Cole Jewelers, we’re a family-run jewelry store located in Portland’s historic Old Port. We’ve been in business for 42 years, offering an eclectic mix of artisan-crafted jewelry and handcrafted pieces made in-house. We specialize in custom designs, bringing our wealth of experience and creativity to every piece.

All of the repair work and custom designing that we do is all done in house at our visible jeweler’s shop that you can see when visiting the store. We guarantee all of our work and will stand by our pieces whether it is repair or cleaning that you need. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff is eager to help you find just the right piece.

From start to finish, this has been the most wonderful experience. I had them replace my lost diamond in my engagement ring, my main diamond. I worked with Megan at length and she gave phenomenal customer service from friendliness and professionalism including communication to me picking up my ring a few weeks later. I even got to meet the jeweler who made the adjustments! We got to discuss the type of diamond and all sorts of things, they made me and my business feel very valued. And my husband didn’t even buy my ring from them initially!HUGE thank you to the entire D. Cole team.My father-in-law has only ever purchased jewelry for my mother-in-law here their entire marriage, and my husband has too (besides the engagement ring 😂) — and will be for the rest of our lives together!

Such a fantastic place! My fiancé and I stopped in while visiting Portland after our brand new engagement that happened just yesterday! The ring was a bit too loose, and wanted to find a silicon adjuster. They helped us immediately, wanted to hear all about our engagement story, and were so kind and helpful. Highly recommend D. Dean Cole cares about his customers! I brought in a necklace purchased elseware and asked that the clasp be replaced as the necklace kept falling off. He looked at it and said it didn’t need a new clasp and fixed it for free. This is why D Cole is a place I will always frequent. Thank you❣️

I did not know where to start when buying an engagement ring. I had my partner share some ideas with me, but I had a million thoughts running through my head when I first went into D. Cole to look at settings. Dean was incredibly patient and reassuring and helped me come up with some questions to answer about what I was looking for. When I had a little better of an idea, I reached out to Ryan to help me design a custom ring that incorporated some smaller stones that I had in the family. Ryan did an incredible job helping me to shape my concept into a beautiful ring. He mocked up designs that met exactly what I was requesting, and iterated on his designs to incorporate my feedback in a thoughtful way that ensured the ring would be structurally sound and timeless. He was never a salesman and always had my best interest in mind. Even after all the work Ryan put in mocking up multiple designs, the final price was beyond reasonable and came in within the budget that we discussed. I cannot tell you how incredibly beautiful the one-of-a-kind ring came out, and my fiancée is obsessed. Thank you to Dean, Ryan, and everyone at D. Cole - you have customers for life.

We have trusted and relied on these talented jewelers for years and we are so lucky to have them in our area. They’ve made several custom pieces (earrings, rings) and everything has been exactly what I wanted, or better. They have reworked sentimental pieces and created entirely new works that have begun with 3D renderings and ended with a structurally sound piece that looks exactly as we hoped. Truly - go here. Look at the binder that has photos of their designs and work. I’ve had other jewelers in the past and this team is by far the very, very best.
