Dylan is INCREDIBLE and has transformed my years worth of boxed-dyed black hair into my dream color!! He sets such realistic expectations to achieve the healthiest hair possible. He’s such a joy to work with and it’s always the most comfortable appointment! Maggie has seriously created a beautiful and inclusive space as well. I cannot recommend Eunoia and Dylan enough!!

I will forever rave about Eunoia and Dylan. It was my first time ever getting my hair cut in a salon and Dylan blew my expectations out of the water. He started by listening to my likes and dislikes, goals, and things I would like to learn about. The entire time he offered extremely helpful information about how to care for my hair and what it was like and was open and nonjudgmental to any questions I had. The salon itself was serene and Dylan's gentle work made me feel incredibly relaxed and comfortable. Beyond all of this, he transformed my hair from a long mane that had only ever been cut straight across, to a beautiful mid length cut that was shaped perfectly to my features. I've struggled significantly with my self-image in the past and I am overjoyed to say that since my cut and style with Dylan, I feel confident and beautiful. I say that with the utmost sincerity and gratitude. Overall, Eunoia and Dylan didn't just give me a haircut, I was gifted an experience that left me smiling from ear to ear the entire time.

There are few things in life more difficult to find than a good colorist. Everyone thinks they can handle red hair, but few actually can. Well-known local salons have bastardized my natural hair color into everything from purple to orange. Enter the saint/hair whisperer that is Dylan. He brought my sad, damaged hair (and soul) back from the brink. My hair looks so natural and he nails it every time. Whether it's color or a wedding look, Dylan has an innate sense of what I'm looking for. He's also super down-to-earth and fun to talk to. I always look forward to our appointments and cannot recommend him highly enough!

Maggie has created such a special and unique space with Eunoia, there’s nothing else like it around. She’s gone above and beyond to build an incredibly calming and beautiful environment — always tailoring every service to what I’m looking for. I trust her with my haircare entirely! She’s seen me through many hairstyles, many color trends, and even bangs — she’s so supportive and always goes the extra mile to make sure she understands my hair goals. I usually don't right reviews but I needed to take a moment to share how Amazing I feel after my appointment with Dylan James @Eunoia Salon. After so many years of feeling insecure over the changes I was experiencing with my hair, I decided to do something about it. I saw Dylan James' before and after shots of how beautiful each Woman looked after their extensions never believing I could feel as beautiful as that. I struggled for the past 5 years with my hair thinning and never being able to grow. I made an appointment for Weft hair extensions. Dylan was very professional, extremely informative and helpful but what struck me the most was how kind and compassionate he was about my insecurities, having so much understanding. Dylan was so patient answering all my questions, even providing a personal stock card of how to care for my Hair from morning to night tips. He gave me a list of products that were affordable to help keep my hair healthy. Coming from Boston I never thought I could find someone out here to give me the look I felt I needed. Dylan is by far the best Stylist/Makeup Artist I have ever experienced. Portland is so lucky to have such a innovative fully knowledgeable Artist that knows what each client needs to feel CONFIDENT and BEAUTIFUL. I am so grateful to Dylan because today I looked in the mirror and saw the old me with healthy beautiful hair. I know they say beauty is skin deep but the beauty I feel goes way deeper than that and I owe it all to Dylan James and his magnificent talent giving me back my confidence. Feeling beautiful is a powerful thing and to find a Artist that understands you and knows the look that you want when you don't even know how to describe that is what I call Magic. First off, the space is gorgeous. Such a great vibe!Second, Dylan is an absolutely amazing stylist, he’s very knowledgeable and listens to your hair goals and then makes them a reality! Also as a bonus, he’s really fast! I’ve been doing fashion colors for years and I’m used to having to sit for hourssss but with Dylan it feels like a blink of an eye!
