The partnership of Reid Emmerich and neighboring East Bayside brewery, Lone Pine, have created a unique craft beverage locale, Root Wild Kombucha. Kombucha is fermented green and/or black tea that through the fermentation process is said to gain healthful benefits based on the ingredients used such as immunity and digestion.
Reid makes all kombucha in house, sourcing or foraging for local ingredients whenever possible. He offers several year-round styles including blueberry, ginger, grapefruit and mint to enjoy at the kombuchery, to go in growlers or in cans. Other flavors rotate with the seasons from beach rose, raspberry with sumac and sweet fern, pine and lavendar to name a few.
He was a home brewer before he began dabbling in kombucha, so you’ll also see a variety of craft brews, formulated by Reid and brewed by Lone Pine, on tap.
