FoodIf you ever want to find a good lobster roll, look no further. My friend recommended this place and said it is better than eventide. I absolutely agreed. The high roller lobster roll is way more flavourful, which is what we want for a lobster roll, otherwise it is boiled lobster with bread.Everything elseThe decor is like every other fast food chain with a spin. Service was great.

Best lobster I have ever had in my life! I was not sure about the place but I asked the 3 customers that came out. They told us it's the best ever and they drove 5 hours for this place we were convinced. We had a wait to get seated but once we sat down, the ordering process is easy. Scan the qr code, pay and the food comes out. This is the most delicious lobster I have ever had. I would recommend the larger 4oz and cooked warm instead of cold.
There is not a better place in Maine to get a lobster roll, if you're interested in unique or interesting flavor combinations. You can't go wrong. Everything they do is very high-quality, and it shows because the place is always very busy. I recommend trying as many of their sauces as you can, even if it's just on fries, and noting which ones are the best for next time. It's expensive, but average priced for lobster. Parking can be difficult, I recommend going north and east by a block or two to find the easiest spots.
The wait is worth it! The lobster rolls were delicious and they offer a flight so you can try more than one. They also have a great beer menu! Delicious food, fun environment and quick service as you place your order via the toast app, which they provide a bar code for your table.
This place is is hands down the best lobster roll in Portland Maine. The bun is toasted well, lobster is extra fresh, and the sauces are the best part. If you love butter you have to try their lobster ghee.I’ve been here multiple times and the staff has always been extremely nice and friendly. Every time I have visitors come visit bringing them to high roller is a must! Try it if your here, you won’t be disappointed.
One of the best places to visit in Portland. Delicious, fresh lobster rolls that come in a variety of sauces. The new surf and turf (burger with lobster) is amazing. Fries with the old bay seasoning is the perfect side. I don't know about the other dishes because if you're not eating lobster here, you're doing it wrong. The different sauces they have are all worth a try. My personal favorites are the garlic mayo, the jalapeno mayo, and the curry mayo.
The food is amazing!! This was BY FAR our favorite restaurant in Maine. We had the lobby Pop, lobster roll, Bloody Mary (so good!) and my husband had the oysters, which he said were the best ever. Our kids also loved their hamburger and chicken poppers. For dessert we had the whopper pies and they were incredible. The servers were fun and friendly and we couldn’t have enjoyed our experience more.
Amazing. The vibe is awesome, the service was friendly and helpful and food and drinks were top notch. You order via your phone or the bar yet you constantly feel helped by everyone. The lobster rolls were so tasty and full of delicate lobster meat and tasty sauces to try. We also tried the lobster on a stick which was fun and tasty. Drinks were equally as excellent. A must try in Portland!
Solid place to go when in Portland, Maine. There’s plenty of seating both in and outside with hardly any wait time. The style of the menu is straightforward so you know what you’re ordering, with pictures accompanying the mobile menu ordering site. The two ways of ordering makes for a fairly efficient system (either order and pay through phone or traditional order). The food comes out at a reasonable time and was hot (what’s more to love?). Service is great just keep in mind that it isn’t your typical sit and dine restaurant with an assigned waiter. I had no complaints and will be thinking about their lobby pop until I return.
If you’re looking for delicious lobster, this is it.Our first time in Maine and trying various rolls and lobster in itself, this was definitely a top choice. The meat was fresh and the sauces were great, especially the one with a hint of pineapple. In comparison to other places, the roll was my favorite. There is an option to order two different sizes. The lobster lobbypop is a light snack as it is a small amount of lobster meat for about $20. The prices aren’t definite as it’s sold for market value. The prices of crab meat may vary, depending on the market value. The vibe was good, and the food was great. The data made it harder out there to order via phone in the restaurant but it was a quick fix by going over to bar and ordering. Also, be ready to wait a bit before entering the restaurant as they take your number and text you when a seat is available. Will definitely be returning to this establishment when we visit again for their delicious lobster rolls and sauces!
If you are downtown and want an excellent little spot I would highly recommend the Highroller. I won't pretend to be a lobster roll expert but I absolutely loved their rolls. They have multiple sauce options which really added to the flavor. Ask for a couple on the side to find which one you like best. You won't be disappointed. They also have a large outdoor area which is well shaded and good for enjoying the fresh coastal air.
Opened promptly at 11AM and started doing a good business immediately! In addition to tables outdoors in front they have a patio out back. Best feature is that you can get a 2oz. lobster roll for $17 if you don't want to pay over $30 for a full one. QR code ordering from outside if you want or pay cash at counter. Great quality for a tourist spot!
Starting from the tastefully designed logo, everything about this place is different and unique. It has a very upbeat atmosphere and the lobster rolls are incredible. Their take on a menu is also much different, instead of text Highroller uses imagery. Compared to other places to get a lobster roll in Portland, this one is extremely good for the money. The store is also great, very unique merchandise and designs. Will definitely be going back!
Fantastic restaurant with a 70s appeal. I walked in and it feels just like johnny rockets. Everything is electronic. Order on the app and pay on the app. The staff was super friendly and very welcoming. The lobster rolls were delicious. You must try it here! I say one of the best in town to be honest. Wish I got more food while I was there. Will definitely go back.
We made it just in time for happy hour. (4pm-6pm). Took advantage of the $2 oysters and the house margaritas. Also threw in some jello shots. Very tasty! The surf and turf high roller burger was beyond amazing. Definitely get the 8oz patty as it will balance out the amount of lobster it's topped with. I got lemon mayo, garlic mayo and lobster ghee. Definitely will hit this spot if I'm ever in Maine again.
Love the restaurant vibes, food and service. We got a lobster roll and one of their burgers with fries- both items were DELICIOUS. The lobster roll was cooked perfectly and meshed well with the bread, 10/10. The burger was also cooked well and tasted great. They also allowed a lot of customization on menu items and had a variety of sauces (another pro)I would give it a 4.7 if I were able to- overall GREAT experience and also great food! My only con is that a lobster roll was close to $40, which is quite pricey in my opinion. The food is worth it, more so if it's your first time trying a lobster roll!
Got here right at 11 when they opened because we had a 1pm flight. We were in and out in 30 minutes. Easy ordering and paying right on your phone. I ordered the lobster roll and it was delicious. Not as amazing as the one I had at Red's Eats with all that lobster meat years ago but extremely satisfying. Fries were excellent and the jalapeño mayo was fabulous. Super happy with my last meal in the area and I like the low key casual vibe. Highly recommend!
First time here and WOW! First off, the lobster roll is by far the best thing I’ve ever had! A must have if when visiting Maine! The bread was warm and toasted, the lobster was chilled to perfection and the garlic mayo really hit the spot! The bay fries & coleslaw was also delicious! I will absolutely be back!Service was great! Greeted and seated immediately upon arrival, easy ordering system and reasonable prices! A MUST TRY!
The High Roller Food truck was a huge hit at our wedding. Trevor was very organized and responsive during our planning process and helped us curate the perfect menu for our guests. The crew did a great job getting in and out of our venue and serving our wedding guests quickly. The food was very tasty, and many of our guests commented on how good everything was! We were able to taste test the food at their restaurant in Portland, which aided in our decision in hiring them. We highly recommend the High Roller food truck!
From when you first walk in this is the sort of atmosphere you want when you're dining in Portland. First time here and can say the staff were able to answer any and all questions with a smile and personality. The food was picture perfect and tasted even better! Great selection of beers and drinks that could have kept us up there all night. The one thing I'll address is that people seem to write negative reviews about the price. Yes it's not McDonalds and you aren't paying $5 for your lobster roll. This is some of the freshest lobster you will have in your life and that comes with a price tag. I certainly didn't think it was overpriced or even that expensive to be honest. You get what you pay for and what you get is some of the best dining in Portland!!!
Pricey, and there is always a wait... but it's a really cool "50s diner meets crab shack" vibe inside, and an equally eclectic menu. Lobster pops are good, as is really everything we tried.Wait-list for a table, as well as ordering and paying are all online so it's very efficient.I recommend making a stop here.
Wow this place is incredible! My wife and I stopped here on the recommendation of our hotel receptionists, we were not disappointed! We got the rum punch bucket which was delicious! I got the lobster roll which was awesome! My wife got the lobster burger which was also amazing. You have the ability to order and pay for your meal through their website. It's an interesting concept but very efficient, they just bring your food and drink right to you at your table. It's a bit expensive, but it is in a tourist town so you have to expect that. Overall very happy!
This place is a whole vibe. Food was great. Service was decent. Super cute decor. Loved it. Tried oysters for the first time and my life has been changed. 😂 Just check it out! 🤙🏼
My 1st ever lobster roll! I've been eating lobster many years but never tried a lobster roll. As a foodie, I thought my 1st should be in Maine!! After trying a couple others in Portland ME...I say this is the BEST!! The buttery roll and variety of sauces (I mixed garlic mayo and melted butter) not to mention super fresh, huge chunks of lobster....all make this the best lobster roll ever😊😊😊♥️♥️♥️
