UPDATE: Dok Mali has officially announced that they will be opening for lunch and dinner 11:30AM-8:30PM on November 1st, 2022. Check out their menu here.
Dok Mali will be the newest restaurant in Portland, Maine’s historic India Street neighborhood, nestled at the bottom of Munjoy Hill.
Inspired by the culture and flavors of the villages of Thailand, Dok Mali promises a spectacular menu steeped in family heritage. Influenced by Thai street food, Dok Mali’s menu will feature a wide array of mouth watering dishes such as the ‘Lion King’ and ‘Mee Ka Te’.
The ‘Lion King’ features braised short ribs, minnie potatoes, carrots and roasted peanuts in a massaman curry broth. The ‘Mee Ka Tee’ is a tasty combination of rice noodles, Quail egg, ground pork, peanuts, fresh herbs and cabbage in a spicy curry broth
No meal would be complete without their offering of different flavored Boba Tea – served all day for dining in or take out.

Their menu of traditional Thai and dim sum (served late night) will be accompanied by a diverse, yet familiar cocktail menu. In addition to Thai Long Island Iced Tea, Mai Tais, and Lychee Martinis are cocktails like the ‘Squid Game’ and ‘Boba Time’.
‘Squid Game’, Dok Mali’s spin on an Espresso Martini, features Soju, honeycomb syrup, espresso and double cream. Boba Time is a refreshing mix of Hendrix, lemonade, butterfly pea tea, and of course, peach boba.

Dok Mali will seat approximately 40 guests among their dining room, full bar, and window counter overlooking bustling Middle Street. The space features clean, natural elements like Thai rattan light fixtures, woven crockery for steamed dumplings, and an original mural by artist Lan Bao.
Dok Mali is restaurateur Nonglack Thanephonesy’s first Portland based restaurant, and sister to Capital Thai in Exeter, NH. After much anticipation, Dok Mali approximates their grand opening in August.
