Eastern Promenade
Rain Date: Wednesday, July 5th
Grab the family, your best friends, and anyone in between, for another great year celebrating Independence Day on the Eastern Prom this Fourth of July.
Various food trucks will be in the Cutter Street lot to indulge your taste buds. Bring your own comfortable outdoor chairs, or lay a blanket for a dusk picnic with fireworks display.

Street Closures:
6:00AM – 11:00PM
East End Trail from Cutter St to the Water Treatment Plant.
3:00PM – 11:00PM
Congress Street from Morning Street to Eastern Promenade: Turner Street from Morning Street to Eastern Promenade; Quebec Street from Emerson Street to Eastern Promenade; Melbourne Street from Emerson Street to Eastern Promenade; Montreal Street from Willis Street to Eastern Promenade; Walnut Street from Willis Street to Eastern Promenade.
6:30PM – 11:00PM
All of Munjoy Hill and the Eastern Promenade will be closed to traffic, from Washington Avenue up.
Street closures include Mountfort Street at Fore Street and Congress Street; Washington Avenue at Marion Street, Cumberland Avenue, Walnut Street, and Eastern Promenade.
**In the event of rain, these street closings would be in effect for Wednesday, July 5th.
Other Viewing Locations:
East End Beach, Fort Allen Park, Amethyst Park, Baxter Boulevard, Payson Park, Martin’s Point on Veranda Street, and Bug Light in South Portland.
