Beautiful and busy... just the way it should be!I thought that the line was surprisingly quick in its progression. Usually when I walk into a place and see half a dozen children pointing to a menu above their heads while surrendering to their overwhelming ADD... I turn around and come back later. In this case, I hardly made up my mind before the Coastal Creamery staff worked through each child's order. The smell of fresh baked cookies was hard to walk away from as well.My only knock on this ice cream shop is that for my personal preference the ice cream's texture was a little to "icey" and not enough "creamy". But the flavors were prevalent throughout and I think if you're looking for a good ice cream pitstop while on Commercial Street in Portland, your search needs to begin and end with Coastal Creamery!!

Went to Coastal Creamery after dinner at Luke's lobster and what a perfect dessert!!! I had an ice cream sandwich and she had a the homemade coastal cookie cake. Perfect addition to Portland

I worked at an ice cream place for years growing up…when I tell you this is the best ice cream I’ve ever had, I mean it! The consistency is unlike anything I’ve ever had. You could tell the ingredients were high quality. I got the s’mores and would recommend! Can’t wait to come back and try another flavor. Give them a try!

At about an hour to closing time there were about 5 people ahead of me and probably another 10 behind me. Definitely a popular spot. It's a cute small shop with very attentive and nice staff. All the ice cream was delicious, but blueberry was my favorite!

Super fun staff super fun choices of flavors even mix some of the ice cream right here in the store. Otherwise they source the stuff from other local creamery’s here in town. I can do birthday cakes they can do cookies I can do ice cream cookies. Pretty much if it’s got ice cream I can do it for you. Waffle cones, sugar cones. Wait for cones in a bowl outside. It is better for you.

All of the ice cream my family and I had was excellent. The pistachio, blueberry, and Oreo flavors were some of the best we've ever had. Definitely recommend this spot.

Wow. The cookie dough was homemade with giant gobs of delicious cookie dough. The coffee and Oreo was equally delicious. Premium ice cream at reasonable prices. The m&m cookie looked really good too.

Hands down great experience, excellent ice cream- super rich and creamy. Staff were so kind with my kid. Don't sleep on the cookie sundae either. I usually just get a cone, but my husband got one and I ate most of his. Great addition to Portland!

What a great experience at Portland’s newest ice cream shop. The owners Kevin and Hayley were incredibly nice and so careful and considerate or our daughters severe peanut/nuts allergies. It’s so rare to find a place that takes allergies as seriously as they should. The owners explained to us that their niece also has nut allergies and they know the struggle she has to feel comfortable ordering from ice cream shops. If you are in Portland do not miss the chance to stop by and get some delicious ice cream from this awesome shop.PS - the Cookie Cake that we ordered for a family birthday party was the talk of the party…don’t miss out!

The most delicious ice cream! Our family loved this sweet treat & fun space to relax as we adventured around Portland. The staff was so friendly & great with our kids (who ask plenty of questions, constantly!) We can’t wait to head back for another treat soon!
