Duckfat Frite Shack opened in Portland’s East End as a companion to the brewery Oxbow Blending & Bottling.
The original Duckfat restaurant on Middle Street has been a Portland staple since it opened in 2004 and is a three time chopped champion. Their hand-cut fries fried Belgian-style in duckfat are available as poutine or naked, with a “flight” of their five house-made sauces – the perfect complement to a local brew. Treat yourself to a thick, creamy shake (also great for dipping fries) or try out their rotating selection of sandwiches, salads and snacks readily available for take out or outdoor dining.
They’re also neighbors with several other craft beverage producers which means once you’ve ordered, you can opt for to-go and grab a drink at a brewery, distillery or meadery nearby and wait for the buzzer to alert you that your food’s ready!
