Maine Brews Cruise was initially founded as The Maine Brew Bus in September 2012 by husband-and-wife Zach and Allison Poole.
Our all-inclusive tours and experiences provide guests a behind-the-scenes look at Maine’s craft breweries, distilleries, wineries, and more.
Tour guests enjoy having an expert guide and dedicated driver to lead them to both established and up-and-coming producers. This offers an opportunity to learn much more about the craft alcohol business than they could learn on their own.
Over 35,000 people have been connected to Maine’s craft alcohol producers since our tours began over 10 years ago.
Maine Brews Cruise offers regularly scheduled and private bus, walking, and biking beverage tours in Greater Portland and Southern Maine. Some of our tours are partnered with local minor-league baseball and hockey teams and include game tickets as part of the tour package.

Very glad we got to take this trip and can't suggest it enough to visitors to Portland.The locations were perfect blend of some of the best tasting beverages that we've had in the region. The Portland Brews Cruise was an incredible experience! It was a perfect activity for the low-key bachelorette my maid of honor planned. The range of breweries from large to small was great, and the amount of beer you get at each place is perfect. Our guide and driver Spencer was very knowledgeable about the beer making process, different types of beer, and the local beer scene. He made us feel super welcome and was great at bringing the group together. I would definitely go back the next time I am in Portland or another brews cruise city!

Fun walk around Portland, with stops at 3 breweries along the way. Got a larger "taste" at each of the breweries than I've had on other tours. Knowledgeable and friendly guide. Terrific way to spend an afternoon!

I was very hungover from the night before a let me tell you something.. JOE AND DON AND THE BREWERIES BROUGHT ME BACK TO LIFE! They were the absolute best and I highly suggest if visiting or live in Portland you take this tour with them. There were 3 different groups on the bus and they brought us all together so it was not awkward. ( Toy Story ladies, Susan and Mike... WE MISS YOU! ) We went to Brissell Brothers (BBB), Belleflower and Goodfire Brewing. Each brewery had amazing options. Thank you for an amazing time and we are all hoping to come back to do it again!THE NJ BBB ladies love you all!

This tour will haul and set lobster traps alongside beautiful landmarks and sea life. This fun and interactive environment offers an experience to feel like a Maine lobsterman and grasp the concept of the lobster fishery.
Please feel free to bring a small drink cooler with you if desired.

This leisurely walking tour allows you to visit and learn about notable Portland landmarks including numerous former brewery sites, the U.S. Custom House, the Workingmen’s Club, Mariners’ Church, the Seamen’s Club, and the working waterfront that was essential for importing many goods and the exporting of alcohol during times of prohibition.
As part of this historical journey, we will stop at three of these legendary Portland breweries to sample their incredible beverage offerings:
