Born and raised in NYC, Neil was educated in the public schools and went on to earn his BA in Physics from Harvard, and PhD in Astrophysics from Colombia. Since, Neil has published several books and become a New York Times Bestseller, appeared on various TV shows, served on prestigious advisory councils for NASA, as well as becoming a recipient of twenty-one honorary doctorates and the NASA Distinguished Public Service Medal.
