Botanically Curious (Instagram /Â Facebook), offering herbal remedies and holistic wellness experiences, is set to open this Friday, April 5th at 419 Congress Street in downtown Portland, Maine.Â
Nestled within the historic Masonic building, Botanically Curious is a holistic haven for herbal enthusiasts and wellness seekers. Owned and spearheaded by Paula Kersch, a seasoned herbalist and advocate for holistic health practices, Botanically Curious aims to redefine the way individuals engage with plant-based medicine. A multi-functional hub, Botanically Curious blends retail offerings, educational workshops, and community engagement initiatives all in one space.
At the core of Botanically Curious is its commitment to herbal education and empowerment. Through a range of boutique herbal experiences, Kersch and her team aim to demystify the world of herbalism, instill confidence in foraging wild foods, and promote accessible holistic health practices that cater to individuals from all walks of life.
One of the distinguishing features of Botanically Curious is its emphasis on wildcrafting – the sustainable practice of gathering wild-native plants for herbal remedies. By incorporating wildcrafted herbs into their products, Botanically Curious ensures ethical sourcing and environmental stewardship while offering customers a diverse range of nutrient-rich herbal remedies.
Beyond its retail offerings, Botanically Curious offers a range of engaging experiences. Visitors can participate in herbal workshops conducted by local partners. Additionally, guests can enjoy tea blending sessions where a knowledgeable Herbalist hand-selects herbs to create unique blends tailored to individual needs. Weekly tea tastings provide an opportunity to explore new herbal formulations. Monthly rotating mocktails offer a refreshing twist, while DIY bath salt blending allows customers to create personalized blends for a relaxing bath or foot soak.
Through these initiatives, Kersch hopes to foster a sense of connection and belonging within the community, empowering individuals to take charge of their health and well-being.
Botanically Curious will be hosting a grand opening 5:30pm – 7:30pm during First Friday Art Walk. Art, herbs and wellness, Rose Aesthetic Medicine will be stopping by to offering IM injections. Grab a mocktail, walk around the shop, learn about Botanically Curious’ services and membership opportunities while you meet local makers and artists. RSVP prior.
Botanically Curious will be open Thursdays-Sundays 11am – 7pm.
