Portland’s most distinguished market, Portland Farmers’ Market is held in Deering Oaks Park every Wednesday and Saturday from 7am to 1pm during the summer and fall.
Welcoming everyone to join in on the festivities and to explore the diverse offerings, the Portland Farmers’ Market is a treasure trove of local vegetables, fruits, dairy, poultry, cheese, flowers, oysters, tinctures, artisan goods, and more. Week after week, the Portland Farmers’ Market continues to amaze locals with its abundance of fresh and local produce from local farms and businesses such as Snell Family Farm, Tiny Acres Farm, Maine-ly Poultry and more.
Pro tip: while most farmers accept credit/debit cards at their booths, it’s advisable to bring cash along for your shopping adventure. This ensures you have the freedom to explore all the offerings and savor the best of what the local farmers have to offer!

An exciting addition to the farmers’ market scene, the Friends of Woodfoods Corner team introduced to the neighborhood the Woodfords Corner Farmers’ Market this spring.
To take part in the inaugural season of Woodfords Corner Farmers Market, make your way to the Woodfords Congregational Church parking lot every Thursday from 3pm – 7pm. Here you’ll find a curated selection of 10-12 vendors, with a diverse range of locally grown or raised produce, eggs, and seafood. Whether you’re searching for the freshest fruits and vegetables, sustainably sourced meats, or delectable baked goods, you sure to find a tempting array! They even have fresh cheeses that will elevate your market experience to even greater heights. For a look at the week’s vendors, stay up to date through social media.

Taking place on select dates during the summer in Congress Square Park, Queer Makers’ Market is a cornucopia of creativity showcasing the unique and vibrant creations of makers and doers who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community.
Bursting at the seams with incredible art, this market has a little something for everyone. From colorful paintings and whimsical prints to hand-poured candles, delicious treats, hand-crafted jewelry that sparkles and shines, one-of-a-kind home decor that will make your living space pop, and more. Queer Makers’ Market is organized by R Nicole Studios, who has gathered an amazing lineup of LGBTQ+ artists and makers.

Presented in partnership with Công Tử Bột, Tender Table’s annual food and art fair/market (and the 3rd one yet!) will be held at night in Congress Square Park.
An extraordinary event that you’ll want to mark in your calendar right now, Tender Table’s 2023 Night Market celebrates Greater Portland’s BIPOC community! More than just an event—it’s a celebration of diverse cultures, an opportunity to support local businesses of color, and a platform for artists to showcase their extraordinary creations. It’s a gathering that fosters connection, appreciation, and a shared love for creativity. Local musician, Kafari, will serenading your ears with live music while you shop, sip and eat!

… And speaking of Congress Square Park, the Friends of Congress Square Park have coordinated their own market in addition to the Queer Makers’ Market and Tender Table BIPOC Market as mentioned above.
A lively gathering of food, artists, makers, and the best vibes in town! Join in on the Congress Square Market to celebrate local businesses, shop for unique finds, and enjoy an incredible atmosphere. The perfect opportunity to support the community while immersing yourself in a vibrant and unforgettable afternoon and night out. Selection of vendors rotates but can be viewed on FoCS’ calendar.

Big festival vibes meets small town welcome! Fete Market is a free, curated, pop-up experience happening select summer dates at Après.
Bringing together 30+ local artists and creatives in a laid-back block party atmosphere, market-goers can enjoy live music, slam poetry from Portland Poets Society, delicious food from local food trucks and trailers, and drinks while exploring a diverse range of vendors, including soapers, ceramicists, metalsmiths, woodworkers, jewelers, artists, fashion curators, and more. Shop local vendors such as Swell Affair, Wave Bait Jewerly, Luster Hustler Ceramics, Strong Moon Metals, Rambler Flower Truck, and more!
Fete Market is proudly a LGBTQ+ friendly market. All are welcome to shop, relax and connect with friends and family – even those well-behaved pups!

A fun, festive, community-oriented, outdoor makers market in Portland, East End Vend connect artists directly with the public in pleasant, accessible environments through out the city in the summer.
Find handmade craft objects, art, prints, specialty foods, and other Maine-made goods as makers display their work in an outdoor Farmer’s Market-style setting with small tables and other creative displays.
Initially developed in the summer of 2020 in response to the pandemic when most craft shows were canceled, East End Vend has provided emerging and established artists with an easy way to set up and sell to customers in a fun market setting!

An opportunity for Portlanders to get out and explore the creations of local makers and artisan during the winter months, Maker’s Market at Thompson’s Point is held throughout the winter and spring season in the Brick South building.
An ode to local Maine artisans, craftspeople, artists, creators and farmers, this market offers the finest that Maine has to offer, a spirit of ingenuity and a deeply imbedded culture of community and togetherness. Previous markets hosted a slew of local businesses, from food trucks and trailers, jewelers, candlemakers, woodworkers, artists and more.
The best part? Entry is free (ensuring you have more to spend locally) and there is a bar on-site serving up mimosas and one mean Bloody Mary. Stay tuned for dates for winter 2023-2024 via social media!
