Portland Maine was named the top U.S. city to work from home.
In an article from Remote.com, Portland was found to be ranked as the 7th best city in the world to work from home from. In this list, they considered things such as quality of life, internet, safety, incentives, and more.
Portland was ranked 7th due to it’s location, increased diversity, and tax credits it offers to recent college graduates who live in state. This tax credit of up to $15,660 is a great incentive for graduates to remain in state, and opportunity to live in a great city. The next highest ranked U.S. state was Honolulu, HI coming in at #19.
We’re not surprised by this ranking, but we also may be biased. I mean, who wouldn’t want to live here? You can check out the full rankings from Remote.com here.
