Matt Turk and C Lanzbom united their talents to establish Deadgrass, a string band journey into the musical realm of Jerry Garcia. Alongside bassist Dave Richards, banjo player Boo Reiners, and fiddler Kensuke Shoji, this ensemble of seasoned musicians delves into Garcia’s extensive repertoire using the very instruments that initially captivated him. Deadgrass pays homage to Jerry Garcia’s diverse musical legacy, drawing inspiration from his various projects such as Old & in the Way, JGB, his Jug Band era, and The Grateful Dead.
