On the first Friday of every month, the city’s artists, galleries and arts venues open their doors for Portland’s thriving First Friday Art Walk. This is a free self-guided tour of art galleries, art studios, museums, and alternative art venues.
Catcha Vibe | Free Street | 8:00pm
Even in the dead of winter, it can still feel like summer when Catcha Vibe hits the stage. Catcha Vibe will bring their smooth Reggae sounds to the basement at Free Street on Friday night.
Erin Harpe and the Delta Swingers | One Longfellow Square | 8:00pm
Discover who could be your new favorite band as New England’s own Erin Harpe and The Delta Swingers play OLS. It’ll be a fabulous night of “Boogie, Blues & Beyond” with an opening set from Erin’s Country Blues Duo.

Even when you can’t see the Stones at Wembley Stadium, you can get a little Satisfaction closer to home. The International Rolling Stones tribute band, Satisfaction, will perform all the biggest hits and more! 18+
Croissant and Chocolat Workshop | Bravo Maine | 9:00am – 2:00pm
Have you always wanted to make a great croissant but don’t know how? Pastry Chef Jasmine will take you step-by-step through the croissant-making process. In this hands-on class, learn how to properly shape, fill and bake to achieve flaky, delicate croissants.
Beginners Bird Walk | Eastern Prom | 9:00am – 11:00am
This free event put on by Maine Audubon is focused on those new to birding or have never been on a bird walk before. You’ll get introduced to the hobby and learn some of the more common species around us
LOLs: An Evening Of Local Comedy | One Longfellow Square | 8:00pm
An evening of laughs is in store with local comics, hosted by Jim and Nikki Martin, featuring Emily Ruskowski, Janet McNamara, Mo Awale, Leah Douglass, and Danny Jordan.
Sunday the 9th
Brunch Up Your Life with Cherry Lemonade | Stroudwater Distillery | 11:00am
Sometimes brunch is best served when it’s in drag. Join Cherry Lemonade at Stroudwater Distillery inside the tasting room for a brunch drag show that will include singing, dancing and maybe some screaming. 21+
Brew and Flow Yoga | Banded Brewing | 11:00am
After the holidays, everyone needs some extra relaxation. Banded Brewing’s own Abby Rioux will host a 45-minute decompression session. Tickets include your first pour. 21+
Sunday Strings | Maine Craft Distilling | 3:00pm – 6:00pm
If you’re in the mood for a little Bluegrass, join the Friends of East Bayside Bluegrass band at Maine Craft Distilling for a Sunday Strings performance. This is a free event.
