Friday the 3rd
East End Vend | Maine Craft Distilling | 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Welcome to East End Vend’s 2022 season! East End Vend is Portland’s open-air market with plenty of crafts, food + farms to explore! East End Vend markets are typically four hours long, held on multiple dates throughout summer, and offer a wide variety of art, craft, and other Maine products in a laid-back and community neighborhood setting.
Eastern Cemetery Summer Tours | 224 Congress St. | 4:00 PM
If you’re looking to learn more about the history of Portland, or have a love for all things spooky, Spirits Alive Eastern Cemetery Tours begin Memorial Day and run through Labor Day, October 16. The Eastern Cemetery is the oldest historic landscape in Portland, Maine and is the home to many Portland subterranean celebrities. Tickers here.
The Donut Queen Burlesque Ball & Pageant | Portland House of Music | 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Celebrate National Donut Day with an evening of sweet debauchery! For the 3rd year, Creme Dela Phlegm & Vivian Vice present a delicious assortment of burlesque and drag by local confectionaries. The Donut Queen Burlesque Ball & Pageant brings together some classic favorites and some freshly baked delights from PHOM’s next door neighbors Eighty 8 Donuts (whose shop will also be open until 10pm!) This year, a baker’s dozen of contestants in the Donut Royalty Pageant will be crowned with delectable titles. Nibble some treats and then cast your vote. The gleam of the glaze, the peaks of the frosting, the crunch of the sprinkles, however you get your epicurean kicks, this show is for you. You need more sweetness in your life. Tickets here.

Peaked in High School brings fun Rock ‘n’ Roll, Pop Punk, Top 40, and Country music to get you dancing, singing, and jamming at The Porthole.

Woodfords Corner Flea | Coveside Coffee | 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
It’s the first-ever Woodfords Corner Flea! Hosted by Coveside Coffee and Monstera Vintage in the Coveside Coffee parking lot. They will have a truly fantastic line-up of vintage sellers from furniture, clothing, vinyl, home decor, and more. Something for everyone *plus* delicious creemees!
East End Beach Cleanup | East End Beach | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Join Tomazin Goff Realty and the Casco Bay Cleanup Project Saturday morning as they go out and help get the East End Beach cleaned up and ready for the summer season. Meet at the beach entrance and help make this Portland staple ready for the warmer months!

From a New Year’s Day hangover to the world’s biggest ball drop, Geno’s Rock Club will pack all twelve months into one sensational show! Evening’s events also includes a costume contest – Come dressed in your holiday best! Geno’s wants see your witch hats, your ugly Christmas sweaters, your daring Valentine’s Day lingerie, and anything else you’ve been saving for a special occasion. The Maine Donut Tour | Portland Old Port | 9:30 AM – 10: 45 AM + at 11:15 AM – 12:30 PM
Join in on Portland’s sweetest tour, The Maine Donut Tour! Tickets will get you front of the line access to the Old Port’s world class donut shops; Hifi Donuts, Eighty 8 Donuts, and The Holy Donut. Portland Bach Experience’s “Four Seasons” Carnival Concert + Parade | Anderson St. (East Bayside) | 3:00 PM – 6:00 pM
The Carnival Concert is back! After last summer’s success, Portland Bach Experience is bringing their exciting outdoor, family-friendly event back to East Bayside (and the Desert of Maine too!) A street-fair-style concert featuring over 30 local arts and environmental organizations and eateries, the Carnival Concert showcases artists from the Portland Bach Experience, Ballet Bloom Project, and STAGES Youth Theater; environmental nonprofits including MOFGA, Chewonki, Natural Resources Council of Maine, and Citizens’ Climate Lobby; and maker-spaces with kids activities. Portland Ovations Presents: Summer – The Donna Summer Musical | Merrill Auditorium | 3:00 PM -5:00 PM
She was a girl from Boston with a voice from heaven, who shot through the stars from gospel choir to dance floor diva. But what the world didn’t know was how Donna Summer risked it all to break through barriers, becoming the icon of an era and the inspiration for every music diva who followed. Join the Young Leaders Council of Make-A-Wish Maine for this Cornhole Tournament at Bunker Brewing! Teams of two will compete in a bracket for bragging rights and a grand prize. Pride Month Celebration: Liquid Pride Release | Liquid Riot Bottling Co. | 12:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Help Liquid Riot celebrate the release of their newest beer Liquid Pride! There will be live DJs, drag performers, and Little Chair Printing will be printing pride shirts in real time on their back patio. Photography Sail | Casco Bay Custom Charters | 5:30 PM – 8:30PM
Join photographer, Tyler Fields, aboard the Pilot Cutter Hesper for a 3 hour photography sail in Casco Bay. Hesper is a recreation of the Isle of Scilly Pilot Cutters of old, a perfect platform of details and grace for any enthusiastic boat photographer of any skill level. Once aboard, you’ll be treated to Casco Bay’s natural and man made beauty. Full of traditional wooden boats, American Revolution and Civil war forts, and 4 lighthouses including Maine’s oldest, Portland Head light- there is no shortage of views. Tickets here.
