Friday April 21st- Before the night begins, 3pm Friday afternoon join the PM JAB with Chris and Javs at Salvage BBQ & Smokehouse for a pregame show they will be airing live. Salvage has killer fresh and fall off the bone foods. With their wicked friendly staff and a picnic styled table to hold the greatest of families your Friday evening just can’t start off wrong. The hushpuppies are told to be phenomenal and if you don’t know what those are, you should go over and find out! They serve local beer and have our local support! The show ends at 6pm but you can stick around to listen to some music while watching the Sox.
Delicious Discourse, an event hosted by Lift 360, a nonprofit focusing on the growth of leadership in Maine will be held at Judith and starts at 6pm. Brooke Beaney’s store is located at 3 Market Street. The store gives Maine’s Old Port an extra fashion edge and checking out their website will show about 30 reasons how, starting with about 30 different designer’s collections they carry in store. You will learn about the store and the creative processes while drinking, snacking and chatting. All proceeds will help support Lift360’s Springboard program, offering pro-bono community expertise to local nonprofits through facilitated brainstorming sessions.
At 7pm Stroudwater Distillery will be giving us our chance to practice our favorite hits! In other words they’ve got Karaoke that goes until 10pm located on our beloved Thompson’s Point.

Saturday, April 22nd- It’s Earth Day. Stand up this Saturday and start running with the Urban Runoff 5K at Deering High school at 9am. Running this year will help to support keeping clean water education here in Portland. The hope is to also raise the general awareness of the water pollution we have here by having some fun -the run will end in a festival.
After 3.1 miles, march with those defending sciences vital role in research and discovery. The March starts at 10am at the City Hall Plaza.
Dobrá Tea is having a “Seaweed Tea Tasting.” They will be giving us free samples of their tea blends made with our home sweet home Maine seaweed.
For artists @2pm: Bright Star World Dance is having an open figure drawing session. There will be two hours spent with the model as she moves into various positions.
All day Novare Res Bier Cafe will be set up with music and kegs as a host for Oxbow for their Farmhouse Funkadelic. You’ll be sure to find a friend or two here too, and if not bring someone else because it is always a good time, they’ll thank you. This makes a perfectly good reason to go appreciate our earth, they’ve got an awesome outdoor set up.
Earth Day will also be celebrated at Bull Feeney’s and Flask Lounge with live music.
Sunday April 23rd– Wake up and meet at 8:30 for Sunday Runday with the Thick Quad Squad at Coffee By Design. They’ll be running miles and miles until finally, meeting back up and grabbing a coffee at 10:30.

We are rearing the end of Autism Awareness month. The 6th annual Portland Sea Dog’s Autism Awareness game starts at 1pm and one child will get picked to throw a pitch sometime during the game!
Following more traditions, the 3rd Annual Beer & Wine Tasting at Blue Spoon Restaurant is here and hosted by Locker Project from 4-6pm. This event is a fundraiser to help the Locker Project share foods with our in need of food Maine children.
