Thompson’s Point’s Brick South to welcome the 5th annual Beers With(out) Beards, a craft beer festival dedicated to supporting women and femme-identifying people in the craft beer industry.
Presented by Hop Culture, a craft-beer-focused online magazine based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and part of the Next Glass family of brands, the festival is to take place in person on Saturday, April 9th for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic. Brought to life in 2018 by Managing Editor Grace Weitz, this celebration of women in beer has since grown to attract thousands of attendees and showcase over sixty women-led breweries. In addition, the festival has featured over thirty-five events highlighting the achievements of women across all aspects of the alcoholic beverage industry.
This year, you’ll be able to enjoy beer from thirty-five-plus breweries (including Maine-based breweries) that are either women-owned or owned by femme-identifying people, or that have women or femme-identifying people in prominent leadership positions. The festival will be hosted in two different sessions: Session I from 11:00 PM – 3:30 PM and Sessions II from 5:30 PM -10:00 PM. Ticket packages include the VIP Bad & Boujee and the GA Untamed. A GA ticket admission will give you 3.5 Hours of unlimited tasting, access to 35+ breweries, 100+ beers and live music, and a souvenir tasting cup.
You can purchase tickets online here. All are welcome at the festival.
Maine-based breweries participating in the event include Allagash Brewing Company, Austin Street Brewery, Bissell Brothers Brewing Company, Liquid Riot Bottling & Company, Nonesuch River Brewing, and Rising Tide Brewing Company.
