The Holy Donut
Step into the delectable world of The Holy Donut, where humble beginnings and a passion for quality ingredients came together to create something truly extraordinary.
Founded in 2010 by Leigh Kellis in her Munjoy Hill kitchen, The Holy Donut was born out of a desire to bring a truly exceptional donut to Portland, Maine. Using a unique northern Maine recipe that included riced potatoes, Leigh crafted a donut unlike anything else on the market. Word quickly spread about these heavenly treats, and The Holy Donut opened their first shop on Park Avenue in 2012 and has grown to four locations across Maine since.
The Holy Donut hand rolls, cuts, shapes, fries, and glazes each donut every day using wholesome ingredients. Their delicious donut flavors rotate, with approximately 20 options – Margarita, Maple, Holy Cannoli Ginger Glazed, Gluten Free Old Fashioned, and more – available to choose from at the start of each day!
