Walking through the old port area of Portland, we came across a nice outdoor cafe area on the cobblestoned Wharf St. It was quiet when we arrived, but became much busier as we ate our food. Good choice? Yes, a very friendly and place, that has a big pub vibe inside, but the outdoor area was very cosy and pleasant. I had to try the Maine Lobster Roll and at around US$26 it seemed a bit expensive, but it was worth it. A very generous portion of lightly dressed fresh lobster squeezed into a toasted brioche bun - nothing else - so I could taste the lobster - delicious! It came with a very good Caeser Salad, crispy lettuce, lightly dressed with ample parmesan shavings and good quality croutons. My wife had the Sirloin Steak and Cheese Sandwich that she enjoyed and said it was very satisfying. Good place for a beer, wine, cocktail and tasty food.

We were greeter immediately by friendly hostesses and that hospitality continued throughout our dining experience from all staff members. We were grateful for the extensive beer and cocktail selection. The lobster roll and chicken sandwich were delicious. Cozy atmosphere and overall good experience. Highly recommended!

Loved this place!! It is so cute inside - has a rustic wood barn vibe. I got the breakfast wrap and it was deliciousss! I also got an iced latte with caramel and maple and that was yummy. Great little place to grab brunch or get some work done!

Really nice bar/ restaurant in Wharf street, Portland. The owner came up and had a chat with us. Made us feel really welcome. Only had drinks on this occasion but would visit again if we return to Portland

We had a nice, casual dinner here. Our waitress was excellent - very attentive and helpful. The whipped ricotta appetizer was tasty. The fries were really good. Unfortunately the lobster roll was disappointing! But overall a nice experience

Excellent breakfast sandwich. Very good pour over coffee. Lovely stone street seating outdoors.

This place is immaculate and great! Amazing drinks and the food is incredible and presents nicely with how it is plated. Great spot in the Old Port. Found it accidentally and I love it there! Beautiful place!

Great alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink options, very good classic lobster roll with plenty of lobster. Very clean.

Stopped in here for a couple drinks and was served by Ian. He was awesome and alone makes coming back worth it. They didn’t have a huge whiskey/whisky selection but the sister company he explained did. He even went over to grab a menu for us to look at. Atmosphere was great, bathrooms were crazy clean. Must stop by, can’t talk about the food, but getting Ian to serve you makes it worth it!

Came here on a walking tour of Portland. I had my very first lobster roll here.... It was life-changing. I looooove lobster rolls now. We got a nice plate to split with buddies and drinks that were delicious. I've also never had bourbon before, so this was a nice treat. Excellent

Food was delicious and so were the drinks. Our server didn’t inform us that the Caesar salad (instead of fries) for my sandwich was an extra $5 - which I wish was mentioned. But it was delicious.

I looked for a restaurant near me in portland maine and found rigby yard. So glad i did!! Hands down the best lobster roll in the area. They roped me in with the lobster roll but i stayed for the atmosphere. Its a brick and old wood cozy lodge feeling..couches and a warm fireplace.I posted up here for hours during my trip and felt very welcome. Local coffee, tea and a full bar.Right in the city center, i highly recommemd staying at the hotel across the street. Very cute and everything is super walkable.12/10

The staff were great from start to finish. We started with their on-tap prosecco and charcuterie board, both were excellent!! We then switched to some of their cocktails with our entrees. We had the steak frites, shrimp and grits (probably our favorite) and the burger with Buffalo cauliflower. Each was well presented and delicious!! We then sat in front of the fireplace on the couches and enjoyed another cocktail. The atmosphere is great for social gatherings. We will definitely come back again.

Different and casual vibe. We sat near the warm fireplace, and it was nice. The waitress was friendly and quick. The 33 cent soup was great - you need to try it. Drinks were perfect (Mai Tai and a Painkiller). The food was a bit mixed. It's really good but really salty. The fillet was perfectly cooked and great! The potatoes exellent - so much flavor too. My wife got the shrimps and grits, and she said it was way too salty. I would recommend and just tell them easy on the salt, please. Otherwise, everything was awesome.

Off the main path but find it for nice atmosphere, good food, great coffee and not outrageous price. Friendly staff. We ended up here for coffee and breakfast after the first three places we tried were not open despite their posted hours. So glad we found it!

We visited the Independence Ice Company before walking over to Rigby Yard (Same owner). Might be the best bourbon collection I have seen and prices were reasonable. My wife and I split the Rigby burger and the steak frites. The burger ranks in the top 3 I have ever tasted. The burger was topped with candied bacon and was cooked perfectly. We will return without hesitation.

Beautiful restaurant, the sticky ribs were delicious, the staff and Larry the owner are very kind and friendly. Looking forward to returning on our trip back to Maine.

Quiet place to grab breakfast and coffee. This place is nestled between a cute alley in a very large space. We had the breakfast sandwich with added lobster 🦞along with a latte and a pour over coffee. Portions are generous and everything was tasty.Prices are a bit on the higher end, but worth it given the high quality and taste of all the items we ordered.

We are traveling from NJ, but I am from California. And let me tellYou, the fries here are literally IN-N-OUT fries!!!. As soon as I tried them with my chicken burger ? I was taken back to Cali memory lane. My husband and I loved it here. If you in town definitely recommend it. Not to mention, that the staff are very friendly too, nice environment and pretty big! ❤️

Ok, the easy bits first ... food was tasty and we were pleased at the breadth of choices available. The cocktails were really well-made! The place has a lovely atmosphere. They were busy (it was a Saturday night) but still, service was timely and unrushed. Now, let's get to it: there was a problem with our dessert order. We never got the chance to complain. Our server and the restaurant manager noticed before we did and addressed the issue immediately. *That* gets a FIVE star in my view.We will surely go back.

Will definitely be back. We went for dinner and got cocktails, ribs, chili, and a burger and everything was so tasty and made in house. The place is very warm and welcoming. We sat at the bar but the comfy chairs by the fire looked great too.

Chicken sandwich and burger were pricy but, delicious! Wife had to send her burger back because she ordered medium rare and got well done..got it back medium well, but just decided to eat it anyway. Beer list was decent. Service was attentive-Cool ambiance, sat by the window- good people watching. Will go back to try apps which also looked good!

Full disclosure, I've only gotten coffee and pastries here. Their coffee drinks are as good as anywhere, and the bartender doubles as a barista. Always pleasant, regardless of how busy they are. They did a really nice job on the build out, it's a gorgeous, roomy space and I would probably pay to use their bathrooms.

Very upscale place to work and have coffee. Not sure how the cocktail portion is as we did not try, but during the day it's a great cafe.Expresso was solid, and the environment was very nice.

Amazing gem of a spot with nice ambiance! Rigby Yard fills an important gap in the Old Port, and offers tables for large groups. Check out this spot for your corporate events and coffee meetings, as well as social meetups and events. Great food, beer and cocktail offerings. The front of house team is truly phenomenal and charismatic. Thanks, Rigby Yard!

Good food. Very good staff but the Service is a little slow .. No complaints. Superb ambience. The atmosphere inside and outside is so lively. We ordered veggie burger to go ( that we forgot to get home!). The dine in seating on the couch was so cool and relaxing. Perfect after a long day of walking.
