This Saturday (July 12th) Maine’s biggest and the nation’s 14th biggest craft brewery Shipyard Brewing Company is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary. They are taking over the Maine State Pier and want to celebrate with you! From 11AM – 11PM the pier is open to the public for this celebration. Shipyard is hosting a beer garden (21+ with valid photo ID), a health and fitness exposition, multiple food trucks, and live bands. Here is the lineup of bands:

- 4PM Model Airplane
- 5:30PM North of Nashville
- 7PM Sly Chi
- 8:30PM Rustic Overtones!!!!
The following day is the annual Old Port Half Marathon & 5K sponsored by Shipyard Brewing Company. This is a great and fun race for the whole family. The 5K is a nice scenic run through the Old Port. I will be personally running the half marathon.
Shipyard Brewing Company is having a contest! Post to Instagram and Twitter & use the hashtag #Shipyard20 and you will be entered for a chance to be included in their time capsule to be opened on 2024 at their 30th anniversary. The contest is a public voting contest, so go to Shipyard’s Facebook page to vote for your favorite photo! The top 20 photos will be put into the capsule.

Beertography Tour with Maine Brew Bus
Sunday July 13 The Maine Brew Bus is hosting a Beertography tour with special guest host John Kleinchester AKA The Beertographer. John will lead the tour to Bissell Brothers Brewing Company, Allagash Brewing Company, Run Of The Mill (for lunch) in Saco, and Banded Horn Brewing Company in Biddeford. Each spot is extremely photogenic and should be a blast!

The following day Monday July 14th The Maine Brew Bus is hosting a progressive Allagash Dinner with Allagash Brewing Company. This beer dinner will have Special Allagash guests as well as take you to multiple spots for your traveling dinner.

Dogfish Head Brewing Company Tap Takeover
After the Old Port Summer Festival by Shipyard you should head on over to Novare Res Bier Cafe for their annual Dogfish Head Brewing Company Tap Takeover. Dogfish’s off-centered beer selection are delicious and some are hard to find. This takeover will offer 30+ Dogfish craft beers throughout the day with special food offerings.
