Friday the 15th
Maine YogaFest | East End Community School | 9:00 AM (All Day) – Repeats Saturday + Sunday
Set overlooking Casco Bay, the Maine YogaFest is a three day celebration led by amazing Maine and New England yoga talent. The festival offers a diverse program of workshops allowing participants to try a variety of yoga styles and techniques. There will be live music in vendor village and in several yoga workshops. The 1st Birthday Bash | Après | Stars Friday – Happening All Weekend!
Après has plans this weekend to celebrate their first year in operation and they couldn’t be more excited to hang with some of Maine’s most celebrated chefs, musicians, performers, and artists as they get down with new releases, limited frozen drinks, and special giveaways. On Friday, they kick off weekend events with a show of new art from their friends Rachel Gloriaia + Ryan Adams — pieces will be hung and viewable through 7/21, but they are throwing an open party Friday from 6-10 with Disco Jalisco + DJ Tylord. You can also expect special visits all weekend from food trucks such as Maine Maple Creemee Co, Eat It Beet It, Eighty 8 Donuts, plus a special performance from Maine’s #1 traveling drag show, Curbside Queens on Sunday starting at 2:30 PM.
King Kyote | Portland House of Music | 7:00 PM
Harken to a night of whiskey drinking in a cabin among the pines, King Kyote echoes the yells of Rock & Roll’s forefathers while having a deeply rooted harmony with the Blues, Americana, and Roots Rock genres. King has toured extensively around the northeast and throughout the U.S. performing alongside other artists such as Taj Mahal, The Record Company, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Rich Robinson (of The Black Crowes) and Houndmouth. You may recognize King Kyote from NBC’s inaugural season of American Song Contest where he represented his home state of Maine. Tickets here.

The Dapper Gents are a Maine based four-piece folk-rock band with killer harmonies and filthy cello solos! Playing live on Portland Lobster Co. deck!
Saturday the 16th
City at Your Feet Scavenger Hunt | Portland Gear Hub | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM – Repeats Sunday
See Portland like you’ve never seen it before with this cross-town, people-powered, car-free scavenger hunt! City at Your Feet is a cross-town scavenger hunt and people-powered trail adventure. Teams compete to crack as many clues as possible and gain points for finding unique locations along the trail network, all while traveling car-free throughout the city. Whether you walk, bike, bus, or pogo-stick, City at Your Feet will get you and your friends and family out the door and exploring all the incredible sights that Portland Trails has to offer! The Romantics | Merrill Auditorium | 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Municipal Organist James Kennerley, launches the 2022-23 season with a concert of music from the Romantic era. The nineteenth century saw a marked departure from the rationalism of the Enlightenment; music moved towards expressing intense drama, transcendent virtuosity, and extremes of emotion. The program will include the monumental organ sonata by Julius Reubke and two new organ transcriptions of orchestral works – the Hungarian March, and Mendelssohn’s Hebrides overture. The music will be a perfect match for the Mighty Kotzschmar. Tickets here.
DJ Sets | Arcadia | 9:30 PM – 12:30 AM
DJ sets Every Friday + Saturday Night at Aracdia, Portland’s only bar + arcade! Electric dream weaver Just Milk will be playing this Saturday, while the boogie-modern funk-disco-soul from DJ HiDuke will return next weekend (Usually Saturdays – just off this week!)
Rendezvous | Flask Lounge | 9:00 PM – 1:00 AM

Through community and neighborhood trash clean-up events, Rubbish sparks conversation and engagement around avoiding single-use plastic, rethinking our waste stream, and the connection between the trash on our streets and the well-known issue of marine plastic pollution. Road Waves has been touring heavily across Canada for the past 4 years while curating an energetic, soulful, and funky show that consistently pushes the bar. Their heartfelt songs in combination with top-notch musicianship conjure unique musical adventures night after night. Their shows are built on a philosophy of playing from their hearts and an open mind, making for an exciting journey with a huge sound. Primo Cubano | Bayside Bowl Rooftop | 6:00 PM – 9:00 pM
Primo Cubano will be playing traditional Cuban dance music at the rooftop of Bayside Bowl! Playing music dating back to the turn of the 20th century, Primo Cubano specializes in Son, the most popular style to come out of Cuba and is the primary contributor to the blend of Latin styles today known as Salsa. Son was first a music of the country people and eventually migrated to Havana, where it was urbanized and began to draw a wider audience. Free!
