Portland Lobster Company has a great atmosphere with plenty of seating and a live band that adds to the vibe. The food comes out fast, which is a plus. I ordered the clam chowder and a lobster roll, but both were kind of meh – not bad, just not memorable. It’s a self-order setup, so it’s pretty laid-back if that’s what you're looking for. Overall, it was a good spot to hang out, but the food didn’t quite hit the mark for me.

Highly recommend. Best lobster stew of my life in a wonderful sea salt air setting. Huge bread bowl too. So hehe I’ve not had lobster stew before but have had plenty of clam chowder. This is way better.

We had an amazing meal at Portland Lobster Company! The winner was the Haddock bites with fries were an absolute 10/10—fresh, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. Next, we tried the New England clam chowder, which was equally impressive with its rich, creamy base and plenty of clams—another 10/10! Finally, we enjoyed the classic lobster roll, which was buttery, packed with fresh lobster, and downright delicious, earning it a solid 9/10. 1 point knocked for wilted lettuce that’s not really needed for decoration.Overall, an incredible dining experience with fantastic seafood. The outside tent dining is heated with a good amount of seating. Highly recommend! 🦞

This was my first stop in Portland and I only got the lobster roll for lunch, but I was not disappointed! My phone did not eat first!!! The atmosphere was cute and laid back. There was a live band too which was great!

The lobster roll was delicious—fresh, fragrant and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere of the restaurant is relaxed and inviting, which makes it a great place to relax. In addition, the windows offer a beautiful view, which enhances the impression of the dish. Regardless of whether you came here for the food or the atmosphere, this place will delight you with both

Great little lobster roll! It does have lettuce on it which was a nice change. Butter is soft and buttery. Super nice it came with fries and a pickle. Bread was buttered and crispy. Location was awesome. Sat outside near the water.

We came here as a family from our cruise. My wife was craving a lobster roll. The lobster roll despite being $$$ was well worth it. I don't eat sea food but instead had a great grilled chicken sandwich. Well seasoned and light since we were walking. Great local spot, glad my wife made us come here. Thanks for the memories, cheers!

We came solely for the lobster rolls, as we were told this was a great place for them and it was our first time having lobster.Being from the Midwest, we were expecting the lobster on the rolls to be hot, but ours were cold. We learned after a quick google search that “Maine-style” lobster rolls are cold and “Connecticut-style” are heated. We recommend getting the Connecticut-style! I’m guessing they would accommodate. With that being said, we did like the lobster rolls, but they aren’t worth the “market price” of $30 each that you have to pay at most places. Try splitting one first with your party to see how everyone likes it before digging deeper into your wallets. The outdoor self-seating and laid back atmosphere was enjoyable. Just be aware there is only a one-hole bathroom often with a line, so keep in mind!
